The Latest Thing — Local services in Costa Mesa

The Latest Thing is another of my favorite metaphysical and gemstone stores in the OC. I recently came by just before the new year looking for a specific book by Judy Bell called the Crystal Bible. It's one of the best books for gemstones and their vibrational qualities. Unfortunately, this time they were out of volume 1 but had volumes 2&3 on hand. Just like the Rolling Stones say, you can't always get what you want, but if you try you might find, you get what you need. Well, I have pictures. Lots of pictures to show you the amazing energy of this store. It's suuuuper easy to find right in Newport Beach right off of Old Newport Blvd.next to Pub33. Being that it's a new year, everyone is starting new beginnings and new habits. The Latest Thing is a great place to pick up all the stuff you need to help facilitate the process. Stones, books, tarot cards, incense, statuettes, essential oils, everything you could think of to help get you started on the right path to your best 2021 ever!! I have picked up many gemstones in the past here and will post pictures of a few as well as the last book I bought there, The Book of Stones. It's amazing too, and I highly recommend it. Well the two ladies we interacted with were about the most unwelcoming and unfriendly people I've come across in a long time. My girlfriend is into rocks so we go in say hello, nothing but a weird look. Still ended up buying her 4 rocks which came out to $29.00 by the way, and she saw one last one at checkout and the lady said they were 50 cents, my card had already ran and not wanting to run it again for a 50 cent purchase I had like 30 cents in my pocket, I gave it to my girlfriend. Now maybe I'm old fashioned but I'm the type that if you're 20cents short I say don't worry about it, especially after paying 30 bucks for a couple rocks but no she makes her walk out to the car for 20 cents. The Latest Thing is the best specialty store in OC. The staff is very helpful and kind, always willing to go that extra mile to get you what you need. I have shopped there for the last 11 years and have never been let down with service or selection. The recovery items that they specialize in it’s probably the best selection in California itself. I also get rocks and crystals from the store they have a beautiful selection and are knowledgeable about what they have for sale. Anytime I’ve needed a specialty chip will make it up for me with a smile on their face. Their selection with recovery items is the best.
