Iām extremely disappointed with the conditions at my local Kroger. I typically bypass this location in favor of a further Kroger (or Aldi), but my small trips to this store made out of convenience have been traumatic⦠no exaggeration. I visited in May of 2020 and witnessed a mouse run into plain sight. I called and spoke to store management because we were in the height of COVID and I didnāt want to discuss face to face. I was advised that the store was working closely with corporate to manage the problem and it was a high priority. On the small trips I made after that I observed frequent puddles of water in the produce and dairy sections. Makeshift doors in the freezer section, and completely filthy floors and trash throughout the store. Yesterday I saw a dead mouse in a trap. I know the goal is to catch the mice but if I can see it, someone else can too who has the power to dispose of it. Iām also disappointed that Kroger has digital coupon prices prominently displayed, but no way for people without digital devices to upload the coupons. Kroger could spring for a kiosk or something to create equity in working class neighborhoods. I also think the buy 5 save $5 are discriminatory. One canāt take advantage of sale prices if they donāt have the money to buy multiple items. I emailed Kroger to express these concerns and my request appeared to fall on deaf ears because I received a generic email response. Kroger has some amazing stores, and some - like this one - that they clearly have given up on. The people of Covington...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually never have any problems with employees here. I receive WIC and I often have problems getting my WIC because items that are WIC products are not properly labeled. Also I hate that this Kroger's barely has any good products because it is a poor class Community Kroger. I have lived in Hebron Kentucky and shopped at the Kroger there lived in Newport Kentucky and shop for the Kroger there and both of those Kroger's are a hundred times nicer than this Kroger ever could amount to be. They don't carry a lot of products of the other stores offer and I believe it is because people in this area are not educated on some of the healthier products so they just do not offer them to them. I am biracial I hate to see the difference and I believe it is because of most people shopping at these Kroger's are lower income people. Something needs to be done about this and I have been experiencing this for years. I lived in Covington for years ago move to Newport for 2 and 1/2 years now and back and I have to shop at this Kroger because I do not have a vehicle and I hate shopping here because of the products offered. I have also seen that there is higher prices at this Kroger and these are the same products just higher in different areas. Also there is not a a picture of what this store truly looks like. So looks are very deceiving on what this Kroger looks like. Next time I am there I will take picture and try...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my grandmother in here today as she lives nearby this specific location. While we were standing at the pharmacy I noticed a lady light up a cigarette in the produce section and walk right past the customer service desk and nonchalantly out the front door while she was puffing away on that cigarette and nothing was said to her. She even stopped at one point and stood there with it for a couple seconds. There were several people in the produce section and quite a few workers at the customer service desk. I was just dumbfounded that nobody said a word to this woman. I know we were not the only ones that notice this as you couldn't miss the cloud of smoke and you couldn't not smell it. Now the rest of the workers around the store were very friendly. But that I just could not get past. If you choose to smoke by all means go for it. But to do it in a store and the establishment not say anything about it...
