I like this location because it is open 24 hours. The store itself is generally well stocked and has a wide selection of products.
My only issue is with the delays at the pharmacy. I understand some delays are partly due to insurance/regulations. However, more often than not, they are due to "low stock" issues. I have been submitting refill requests a week in advance (as my doctor advised) to try and get around the low stock issue and give the pharmacy plenty of time to place orders and restock. This has not helped at all unfortunately. I also find that I get hung up on a lot when being transferred from the call center to the actual pharmacy. It happens about 50% of the time.
I want to give a shout out to one of the pharmacists: Fumi, one of the pharmacists at this location, has been SO helpful when these delays happen. She has come to my rescue more than once. Fumi takes the time to find out what the problem is, instead of just referring to the computer and referring to the same message the customer sees on the app/website. She also explains things clearly and gives great advice on what to do and say if you have to call an insurance company or your doctor. One of my medications was supposed to be filled on a Saturday, but due to low stock, it was not going to be ready until Monday. I called to check in Monday morning, and was told that the medication had been delivered and I would receive a text soon. I was expecting to hear something within a few hours, but when I hadn't heard anything by 5:00pm I called again. This time I was told they were too busy to process the delivery of new stock and I would have to wait until the next day. By this time, I had been without my medication for 3 days! I decided to go up to the store and speak to someone. Luckily Fumi was there. Despite being extremely busy with a long line of people waiting, Fumi spoke with me, acknowledged the issue, and went to the back of the pharmacy to sort out the delivery so she could get my prescription filled. Not everyone would have done that considering how busy they were. I hope someone at the corporate level reads this and acknowledges Fumi for not only being great at her job, helpful, and pleasant, but for going above and beyond to make customers feel seen and heard Thank...
Read moreBeware. Do not enter this store after 10:00 PM. The store is staffed with THUGS. I bought two items and the sales person did not acknowledge my presence and was carrying on a an unintelligible personal conversation with another employee. I greeted him and he ignored me. Never made eye contact. He rushed through the transaction and rang the items up a regular price because he was too cool to ask me to enter my loyalty number. We made it through the transaction and again I left with pharmacy bags, but the sales person let me walk away without the items I bought from him. He was too busy acting like a thug to take a few steps to the front door to hand me the items. And I didn't realize that he had not handed me the bag until I got home. So I turned around and drove back to the store to find my bag sitting unattended on the counter. I am a regular customer and I had a legitimate complaint that I wanted to discuss with the manager on duty. The so-called manager appeared and was very large, and equally thuggish. He was wearing a black zip up hoody, jeans, no name tag, no walgreens shirt. He had the look and demeanor of a night club bouncer. When I stated my complaint, he told me that I'd better get out of the store, that he would not allow me to disrespect his employees. To the contrary, I said, it was your employee who failed to even acknowledge my presence and couldn't be bothered to call out my name or take a few steps to the door to hand me the bag. The equally thuggish manager started shouting and ordered me out of the store, and kept saying that I'd better get out now, that if "I KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR ME" I'll leave. He told me that I was going to be the one to "lose this battle," so I'd better get out. He refused to give his name and as I was walking out kept saying that I was the one that was going to be sorry that I had complained. To say that he was threatening and intimidating is an understatement. I reported this to the Saint Louis County Police. So please. Don't go to this 24 hour Walgreens at this time a day. Walgreens has no standards on the retail side of the store, even though their pharmacy staff is very nice and it's safe to use the drive through. ...
Read moreI dropped off 2 written scripts after just getting my husband out of the ICU. Was told it would be 20min and they would text us when it was ready. No problem. Waited about an hour and half and still no text and was nearly time for his next dose of meds. Drive up and the older woman just kept yelling at me through the glass rather then pick up the phone and use the intercom, even though I kept telling her I could not hear her, and repeating information multiple times, just to simply pull his name up and attempt to get good rx coupon (that I don't believe she even applied). She was very rude. Said that they "just got the script" and I told her that's not possible because I dropped it off over an hour ago and told it would only be 15-20min. She rolled her eyes and shook her head. Then told me it would be 15-20min and slammed the drop box shut. I didn't move my car and was waiting because it was dire that he get his meds on time and she slammed it back open and told me to go around and wait. I looked at her, still having to shout through the glass, and told her that my husband needed his meds and before I could finish she slammed it shut and walked away. Came back about 15min later with nothing but attitude. I realize she doesn't know our situation, not that she would even let me attempt to explain, nor should it matter but I am still in shock of how poorly her customer service was, even just common human decency, was completely none existent. Just be kind. Especially if you are going to be working in a "medical" customer...
