Cross Roads Plaza — Local services in Cromwell

There are a couple of stores here. It's conveniently located. My trip was to visit UPS store for the notary public services, and I decided to browse the pawn shop. There isxalso a Polish specialty shop which I visit on occasion, mostly at Easter to buy fresh meats. They also import other Polish dry and canned goods. The plaza is conveniently located near the highway ramp. It's also near several major grocery stores like Stop and Shop within a mile and Dunkin Doughnuts next door. Thus I typically go here if there is a specific item I need like the UPS services, or I tack it on to a trip to the grocery store. The traffic flow is okay inside the lot and there is ample parking. However, entering from the North, the signage of the turning lanes could be better. There is no sign that the left lane will very soon be turning only. The left lane basically turns into left turn only serving several business entries eith disconnected parking lots. You need to get in this lane and also be mindful of those exiting. You may well get stuck behind someone turning for another entrance and during busy times people pass on the right then turn into the left lane, or people get in the left lane thinking it's a regular lane and then need to switch out in a short distance. I'm writing about the ReStore in the corner of the Crossroads Plaza. Here they have just about anything you could imagine and if they don't have it today, rest assured they'll probably get it in within a week. Clean, organized and the prices are crazy cheap. The staff and volunteers are always ready with suggestions, ideas and friendly advice. Furniture is usually top rated and gently used. I've picked up so many bargains there for my rentals that I laugh at the prices Home Depot and Lowe's charge. Appliances to Air Conditioners, Sinks to Solar Panels, Dining Room sets and Living Room ensembles all at a fraction of the cost and all in very good shape and/or in good working order! If this was where we went to do laundry, it was a very nice space. We went to the Laundromat there --- The Laundry Room of Cromwell. It was a VERY clean place with a nice attendant lady. The worst thing about it was the machines ran on quarters. My sister put in 48 quarters for one huge machine! (Fortunately they have a money machine that provides quarters.) To my delight there is a DeAngelo s sandwich shop in the plaza as well. Dinner! There is a polish deli next to the Laundromat and a Sushi restaurant a couple of doors down.
