Black Lotus Gallery — Local services in Cromwell

I had 3 tattoos previously and was looking to expand on one of my existing tattoos that was a heart with boot prints in it outlined with the words,"My Son, my soldier, my hero, Army Mom" in honor of one of our sons who serves in the Army. I saw the work that Mike Harmon had done on our son-in-law and went to meet him at the Black Lotus Gallery located in Cromwell, CT.

He met me and my wife without an appointment and talked to us about our options. The Black Lotus Gallery is quite professional and clean. The black interior with gold embellishments gives it a very sleek look. The counters, floors, workspace, and restroom are clean and well kept. There is a couch and a couple of comfortable chairs with a big salt water fish tank to keep anyone visiting comfortable while they wait.

Needless to say, we both booked an appointment within a few weeks of our initial visit. When the time came for my appointment, I was super excited to expand on my existing tattoo in honor of my son who is an active Marine. I had envisioned a flag going through the heart with the words, "My Son, my marine, my hero". Mike drew it up and printed the stencil which was a very rough sketch of what the final product would be (see images). He began by positioning the stencil on my arm and allowed me to live stream the process on TikTok while he worked! His tattoo machine itself was super quiet for those with sensory/auditory issues or sheer panic or anxiety! The entire atmosphere of this place is absolutely amazing, the people there make you feel like you have been friends for so long and the art pieces they do at this shop is beautiful, I definitely recommend asking Mike about his skills on playing the pocket piano.
