Pho & Grill Vietnamese Restaurant — Restaurant in Cromwell

This was my first and last time visiting this location with my mom on Mother’s Day. Truly, it was the worst Pho we have ever eaten in Connecticut. I wanted to surprise her with a new place, but the reviews are deceiving, as the quality and freshness of the food was awful. Before even leaving the restaurant, we began feeling nauseous after eating. Afterwards, it just went downhill and became the worst Mother’s Day and experience for us. We took home the leftover Pho that I thankfully didn’t eat at the restaurant. Unfortunately not even 24 hours later, the food is completely spoiled after being refrigerated shortly after. I am disappointed as we visited with high hopes because of the ratings. Please be aware if you are bringing children or sensitive stomach individuals to this restaurant as food is not as fresh as promised. If you want to have a successful night, I encourage you to visit someplace else as nothing worse than being sick. Completely disappointed and disgusted after visiting this location, however; one must learn from experiences to not be a repeated customer. EW!! 0 Stars!!

Pho and Grill is the best Vietnamese restaurant in the Greater Hartford area. Service is always excellent, the food is ALL great and it's extremely affordable. The Pho is very good here. Broth is rich and flavorful and there's plenty of meat. The Grilled Beef and the Grilled Pork with White Rice dishes are also wonderful. The meats are marinated and grilled to perfection. The Banh Mi (Grilled Beef and Traditional) are some of the best around and on par with those from Kien Market. Pho and Grill also offer a variety of different drinks. They include Vietnamese Ice Coffee, Bubble Tea, Fruit Teas, and Fruit Smoothies. The Vietnamese Ice Coffee is average at best but their Fruit Smoothies are very good. All in all Pho and Grill provides a wonderful dining experience. So much so that I often bypass the multitude of closer restaurants in Hartford to come here instead. The food is just as good if not better and it's a lot cheaper especially compared to a place like Pho Boston. Service is always friendly and attentive. I tried this place today for the first time, and I'll definitely be a regular now! The atmosphere inside was super clean and friendly, and the food was exquisite! The customer service is also exceptional. The gentleman who took my order was incredibly polite and had me sample the tea I ordered before I left with it so that he was sure I was happy with it, recommended some options, and went out of his way to even open the door for me on my way out! I got a raspberry tea, chicken pho with extra noodles, and the pork eggrolls. I was fascinated to learn that he packed all the pho components separate for me so that I could add fresh ingredients to my own taste when I got home - such clever and effective delivery! The chicken was fresh pulled breast meat and the broth was to die for. It satisfied all my cravings! But the eggrolls...there are no words. I know I wont be able to stay away from them for long, purely addictive! I was so happy with the service and the cuisine. Theyre still relatively new, and Im positive theyre going to do GREAT! Plus it isnt far for me, so Im happy for myself too LOL. 5...
