Second and last time rating this store. The Cromwell Ct store has declined in customer service so badly that I will not return Back. Today I was in the store after having a procedure done on back and could not physically get into the self service because it's a headache depending on how much items you have. As I'm coming down the registers it was 2 open in which one was unattended. I then went to a register unloaded all of my items in which the cashier by the name of Patricia watch me do only to then refuse me service because I was in 12 items or less in which I was not aware which was my fault I guess. I took the extra items off the belt and told her to ring what was there no sense in taking all my things off which was still embarrassing and over the top Nor did it make sense not to ring me up. Never have I been into a store where you are refusing to ring a person up because the went over some items in express she had no intentions on putting my items in the bag or atleast the integrity to hand me the bags I paid for. Patricia to sum it up obviously did not want to service me today for whatever the reason Thank you to a couple of managers walking the store who cared to listen however this store deserves another notch down for the fact that the employees are that comfortable with the disrespect for one and also comfortable doing so with management walking the floor....

This kid is so spiteful towards other human beings. It’s not even funny. Tonight is the second incident that I had with this boy. I got ice cream at another Stop & Shop, and then I realized that I had paid with the wrong card and I just wanted to return and literally purchase back the ice cream right then and there were same transaction, now mind you this is ice cream. It’s almost summer instead of just helping me, he comes up with every excuse in the book. Do not help me. All he had to do was go to a register, scan my receipt do a refund scan my four items and let me pay, with a different form of payment, that is always I was asking for. As soon as I saw him, I knew he was not gonna do it for me Claiming all the registers were closed, and there was only one register and it was for emergencies ““ The first altercation I had with this boy, I cannot tell you the level of immaturity he displays. I have no idea how he got in that position, But he needs to be taken out of it before you lose more customers . And judging by other reviews, I’m not the only one who has had a problem with this...
Read moreOn Saturday, July 27, 2017, I stopped to get gas at the Stop and Shop gas station. I used my debit card to pay for my gas. When I realized that every cent in my checking account was being held, I cancelled the order at the pump. However, the pre-authorization, was not released even though I didn't get one cent of gas!!!!!! I spoke to the employee at the gas station and he told me I had to go speak to someone in customer service at the Stop and Shop next door. I spoke with Lakeisha, who is a supervisor at Stop and Shop. I explained what happened and showed her that every cent in my checking account wasn't released when I cancelled the order. This woman went ABSOLUTELY above and beyond to help me. She explained what I needed to do and made sure I was able to put gas in my car by giving me a complimentary gift card!!! I didn't ask her to do that, she offered it to me on her own!! I wouldn't have been able to continue working had she not done that for me!!! Her customer service skills are outstanding and something missing in this society!!
