The Dressing Room — Local services in Crossville

I came to visit my parents in Crossville over Passover weekend. I had been following The Dressing Room for a few years now, I'm not sure if the pandemic changed the inventory or if they just stopped carrying Plus Size clothes due to the lack of interest, either way I stopped in just to browse on Saturday the 27th about 3 hours before closing.

I wasn't greeted when the woman working was off the phone; no one asked if I needed any help. I walked up and asked if they still carried any plus-size clothing and the woman didn't look up at me from the counter and just said "no, we only carry to large, sometimes extra large, sorry."

I felt deflated. It was not a friendly exchange. I don't expect everyone to cater to EVERY size, but at least treat me like...

I couldn't be more proud of this cozy, welcoming shop and all the employees. The welcoming atmosphere and the current trends are always pleasing every time I venture in...or end up ordering online. I personally know the intense amount of work,drive, heart and soul that goes on behind the scenes and know that this is definitely a true labor of love provided by everyone involved from the minute details like general housekeeping to individual packaging for online orders, to attending out of state markets, windows displays and customer appreciation!! The nicest and most helpful girls work there. I moved here last July and one of the girls remembered me when I went in 7 months later. I love all the clothes. While it’s true that not ALL the styles are for every body type, I can always find many things to walk out with! Very nice selection. I am so grateful I can find quality boutique clothing in such a small town where there are very few options...
