Update: since my original post, we have gone back dozens of times. The waiter we had is no longer there. We now receive exceptional service. We usually have Summer, as our waitress, (she is the epitome of an excellent waitress) and she pretty much has our orders memorized (however we threw her a curveball the other night and ordered something different). From the manager to the other wait staff, they now have a staff that functions very well. The chef prepares our steaks perfectly each time, which isn't as easy it sounds, and we truly appreciate this (even for the EXTRA garlic butter my son always orders). So good job Ruby Tuesdays!! You will continue to see more of us.
Only a small handful (within 2 years) of times has the food not been seasoned well (meaning more salt was needed). We eat here quite often and we have our set foods we like to order. Love their salad bar. It has many choices, and is consistent with their choices. The only thing that makes or breaks this place is their service. More times than not, our wait staff has been exceptional. Last night was Mother's Day, so I understand it was busy, but waiting 22 min b4 we got our first drinks? And then having to either get up and find a waitress to have them get our waiter, so we can get a refill (2x) during the almost 2 hours we were there, was a bit much. Our waiter walked past us MULTIPLE times but refused to even look our way on the off chance we needed something. I was a waitress a long time ago and I am familiar with this behavior, and on super busy event days it can get annoying, but if you don't want to make it worse, just make sure your clients are at least hydrated. It was hot outside and very warm by the windows (yes, I know it's hotter by windows), but 78 was too warm. Thankfully, a kind waitress changed it to at least 71. Overall, we were ignored for our visit, which is so far out of character for this establishment, so I will mark this as a one-off. Their TBone, Ribeyes with garlic butter, their steak Tacodilla, deconstructed kabobs are very yummy!! There aren't many sit down type restaurants in Crossville that are open past 9 pm (they close 10 Sun-Thurs / 11 pm Fri-Sat). Overall, we enjoy...
Read moreI ate at the crossville ruby Tuesday several years back and it was terrible all the way around, food, service, cleanliness. I chalked it up to a bad day and gave this restaurant a second chance a week later. Exact same experience, Never ate there again until recently a few weeks ago upon the urging of my girlfriend.what I found this time was a completely different restaurant ! Im not sure if the management has changed from several years ago, i went in with extremely expectations, and left with a stellar dining experience. The restaurant was very clean, even the restrooms which sometimes get over looked when its busy. We came in mid after noon, it wasnt packed but there was a fair amount of customers. The host was polite and attentive. The service was great, the food was delicious. Which prompted me to want to eat here again. Im writing this review from my table as we wait on our desert. Again absolutely stellar experience. Host was polite and courteous not just to us but all the guest that we coming in. It was much busier this time around. Our server a young lady named Bryann was excellent. Paid attention to our table as well as all the other guest she was serving. She was running the bar as well as tables. Checked back with us after our food was served to make sure everything tasted good and was satisfying. Kept our drinks full but was overly crowding our table either. I'd say it was the perfect blend of attentiveness and letting us enjoy our meal uninterrupted. She did a fantastic job. The other servers I observed where taking care of business with their guest as well. The cooks did their thing with the food I ordered the hickory burbon salmon and it was tender, juicy, and cook perfectly. My fiancée steak Ramen bowl was top notch. Again even being busy the restaurant was very clean and look good. Your whole team did a phenomenal. Building upon our last visit guaranteeing another visit in the near future. Great job to the staff and...
Read moreHorrible..!! What happened?!! Three years ago I have scored it 5 stars. 6/12/18 we ate here and we had mediocre service and food. Tonight..08/07/18 it was horrible..!! We were a party of five. In our party, 4 of us have food and beverage experience from restaurant ownership, cooking, catering and management. The flatware was filthy and greasy. I asked for clean flatware and it never arrived. I got up and retrieved some from a bin at the hostess stand. I asked the team lead for some appetizer plates and we didn't get those either. I don't mind retrieving things if I can't find or think my server is busy. We ordered the meatballs and the spinach dip. Meatballs were ice cold and the spinach dip was luke warm, at best. I'm concerned about food not being up to temp. The meatballs were replaced and they came out hot. The salads were old and wilted. Tables were in desperate need of bussing. My fiance's meal had a cold baked potato which wasn't replaced. They messed up on another order too. I was told that my plate was waiting for broccoli. My food was served on a dirty plate with remnants of rice and some meat. I had ordered salmon, broccoli and zucchini. I walked my plate toward the kitchen and was met by our server and I told her that I would not be eating and she needed to take it off our tab. We finally got to talk to the manager who comped the apps and our meals. We will not be eating here ever again after...
