Unfortunately, this jewelry place let me/us down So much. 1st visit: We brought in my custom designed wedding ring to get a damaged gem replaced, and to increase my ring size. 2nd visit...What I got back has be a very shiny problem, that needs the care and repair of another jeweler (which according to the Cookeville jeweler, they fix many items that Truly Yours messes up). 3rd visit: I brought my ring back to TrulyYours, a few weeks after the work they did, because there was a sharp metal bit snagging and sticking up. They looked at it with a loop and said, "Who worked on this last?" "YOU Did!" I said. They didn't remember me or my very differentl looking ring...At All, and couldn't even find my recent records. I also brought my ring back in because I noticed that my one of my grandmother's diamonds was set cockeyed, instead of flat, the way the entire setting was designed. They told me that my diamond was missing it's bail (which holds the stones In!). I was afraid that I might lose the diamond, plus the metal snag bit was an issue, hence why I bought it in for them to fix. I asked to use their loop to see what I couldn't see, when I originally picked it up. I was shocked to see that there were several things I didn't notice, because I didn't inspect it properly when I picked it up (I was so excited after years of needing to get my ring fixed, justto getit back). They were saying how amazing it turned out and, to be fair, it was Super shiny. (We've had a family run store that sold nice jewelry, so I know how great lighting, and polishing can help make things look super amazing.) After talking with them on my 3rd visit, I had absolutely NO confidence to leave my wedding ring with them a second repair time...when something as important as a bail, to hold in one diamond was "Missing?!" How could you not secure my setting properly and Notice something that important, before I left the first time?? I have been hesitant to write a negative review, because I know how damaging they can be to a small business. We love supporting local, and the radio ads for the quality of this store run so Frequently. Now I cringe every time I hear thier ads. My experience with this store hasn't been pleasant, with quality of repair, or how the staff treated me. I'm also afraid of further damage to my ring until it's properly fixed. On a 4th/separate occasion, we went in to Truly Yours to get a little cash for my husband's gold coin. We were not able to do that, even though that's a service they say they offer. We then went to Cookeville and found a trust worthy jeweler store with a super helpful, Friendly staff, and the store owner immediately knew what the gold coin was and we were able to get the cash, no problem. This new place will get us to drive further, because they have treated us well. I'm also going to find our loop at home (tiny little magnifier is hiding somewhere) or...
Read moreI have had only two experiences of entering this establishment and both were not good. The first time was right after my 18th birthday. I had intended to sell an 18K gold necklace, which upon showing to the gentlemen behind the counter I was promptly and unpleasantly blown off with some mumbling about it being fake or costume jewelry. There was no explanation offered and I had no interest in requesting one. Afterwards, I sold the piece without a single problem to an online buyer (Redollar.com). During my most recent visit I had just a small 14 karat pendant I was planned to sell and make a few quick dollars. There happened to be a man in front of me selling a good amount of gold jewelry. I watched as that man got offered almost half of what his haul was worth, him not knowing any better than to accept it and go on about his day. The woman took the 14K piece I had and comes back with an offer of $15 which at that time was almost half of the actual spot price. It was actually quite disappointing to see that this jewelry store was more dishonest than any other shop I've been to in the crossville area. I was utterly stunned and disgusted with the level of greed shown to me that day. This was my own horrible experience and nothing more, but I will not be returning at any point in the future. Negative two out of three is enough...
Read moreTitle: Disappointing Experience at Truly Yours: Beware of Unfair Offers for Gold
I recently visited Truly Yours with the intention of selling 3 grams of gold, hoping for a fair deal. However, my experience at the store left me feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. Upon presenting my gold, the staff offered me a mere $73 for the 3 grams, which I later discovered was well below the actual scrap value of $210.
It's understandable that businesses need to make a profit, but it is unacceptable to rip off customers in the process. After declining the offer, I decided to shop around and found another buyer down the road who was willing to pay me the full scrap value of $210 for the same amount of gold.
I urge anyone looking to sell gold to do their research beforehand to avoid being undervalued and potentially cheated out of what their items are truly worth. Gold holds inherent value, and it is essential to be informed and aware of current market prices before engaging in any transactions.
In conclusion, my experience at Truly Yours was disappointing, and I hope that they reconsider their pricing strategies to ensure fair and transparent dealings with all their customers. Remember, knowledge is power when it comes to selling precious items like gold, so always be informed and seek multiple opinions before...
