TUXOLOGY — Local services in Crystal Lake

From 2024: I ordered my tuxedo in June, when I came to pick up my suit at the end of August for my wedding that was at the beginning of September the suit looked like total garbage...shabby junk. It was a white tuxedo that had visible stains on it, loose threads and what appeared to be burn marks. Also in no way was the suit fitted correctly. I had spent 90 minutes in June getting fitted and trying on different styles of pants, jacket, shirts. But the suit that I came to pick up for my wedding didn't fit me at all correctly. At that point it was now 3 weeks before my wedding, I had no suit,and I'd wasted $100 on the deposit for this garbage suit that Tuxology were offering me. Both times I was in there I was the only person in that shop, and the attitude that I received in August to pick up my suit from the owner's son was as if I was an annoyance to him that I was in there. He also tried to act surprised that the suit was in such lousy condition and that it didn't fit me at all. He told me that they could probably get another one there in 2 days. That of course turned into 4 days, at which point I told him that I no longer want the suit, and that I would never support their business again... their response over the phone: "oh ok". Men's Wearhouse is right across the street and is a thousand times more competent. Don't waste your time...

Loved this place at first and lovely staff. Unfortunately when I talked to them about returning my dress or seeing what they could do because my prom might be cancelled and I spent a lot of money on it they said they wouldn’t do anything. Not pleased with this place I do not appreciate how they would not work with me and I’m sure many people will be devastated that they spent so much money on a dress they will never wear because most of people’s proms might be cancelled. Would’ve thought they would be more considerate that none of us saw this coming and would work with me but...

I was in a tight spot for a wedding on June 15th and didn’t start looking for a tuxedo until June 12th. After calling several places that told me it was too late, I found Tuxology. From the moment I walked in, they were incredibly professional and found me a stunning burgundy tuxedo that had just been released. I was able to pick it up by the 14th, and on the 15th, I was the sharpest person at the wedding! Not only did I look amazing, but my tux was more affordable than others I compared.
