A Burrito & Cupcake girls’ weekend stop because chocolate - need we say more?! Burrito says the display cases in the store are visually stunning. The back of the store is a little shopping area. That space may be better served with some seating to enjoy treats, because the star of this place is the treats and not the little shop items, but I digress. The chocolates are pricey, but worth it for an indulgence. Burrito’s favorite out of all the things she bought and tried was the big chocolate caramel that’s pictured šŸ˜. The gelato was also amazing šŸ˜. We tried the coffee and the sea salt caramel flavors. Omg, the coffee flavor was perfectly deep, rich, and smooth. The sea salt caramel had the perfect caramel flavor with just a hint of sea salt. Burrito is typically hesitant of sea salted caramel as a flavor because it’s typically overpowering on the salt side, but not this. The counter staff was helpful, but not really warm or cheerful - when your Burrito is buying indulgent things, she wants all the feels - welcomed, happy, cheery, excited. They were helpful but not excitedly so, which was kind of a downer. I’d go back for the gelato and those caramel yummies.

It was my first time visiting here today for Mother’s Day per my boyfriends recommendation and oh my gosh, I am so glad I came! The boutique is so nice and chique and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! Edward explained how the boxes and pricing worked when picking items from the bar and Larry was very patient with my selections and gave me some wonderful recommendations when I described my mother’s preferred tastes when it comes to sweets. I was getting two boxes, one for my mother and my boyfriends, and Larry lovingly assembled both of them into little pieces of art tied off with a lovely bow! Both of our mothers, and my boyfriend and I, absolutely enjoyed the chocolates. What an amazing first-time experience. I cannot wait to go back again! Especially since they carry my favorite dry rubs in the back of their boutique!

We came down for our anniversary and wanted to treat ourselves to some specialty chocolates. Unfortunately, the service was not very warm. I asked about the chocolates and for some recommendations, but was met with short, curt responses. I was genuinely interested in learning more about their selection, but it didn’t seem like they were eager to engage or answer my questions. Overall, the customer service felt lacking and rushed, possibly because they were close to closing time. We still purchased some chocolates and Neuhaus which were fine.

I visited this shop for the first time last weekend with my family. We ordered gelato and admired the case of beautiful chocolates. The older man behind the counter appeared very annoyed that we ordered gelato, prompting my mother-in-law to ask him at one point if this ā€œwas OK.ā€ He was not friendly and made us feel unwelcome. We sat at a table in the back and my four year old son said he needed a bathroom. I saw the signs all over the back of the shop indicating they do not have a public restroom, so I did not even bother asking, but after my son said that, another unfriendly older woman behind the counter chimed in and said, ā€œwe do not have a public restroom.ā€ We didn’t ask her for a restroom but how tacky to announce that to us after hearing my young child say he needed a bathroom. This place was a one and done for me. There are plenty of other, better places that offer similar products and have friendlier, more accommodating staff. I will take my...
