The people at DHI handling sales over the phone were great. We wanted a desk and a filing cabinet and found what we needed through their catalog. The delivery was astonishingly good with very careful and quick work done by the delivery personnel. I am also thankful for being able to order and receive these things during a pandemic, and I definitely am not deducting stars because of reasonable delays in handling our order during what is undoubtedly a difficult time. I am also well pleased with the product based on the expectations I had and experience in dealing with the kinds of furniture we were shopping for.
I am deducting stars because I did not receive prompt replies to queries about our order when I requested updates as expected deadlines were passing. This of course lead to uncertainty and doubt and ultimately stress. Each query to the company about an order has an expected turn around time of two days for a response. I did not receive replies until researching the company and finding the owner. It was slightly annoying that when I expressed my concerns I was given a defensive answer, but far more frustrating when they didn't seem to know anything themselves about my order. I was later given some documentation that seemed to indicate my order wasn't placed when I paid for it but was made much later.
Late in the process we did wind up getting some replies from a different person, and I think at that point they had picked our order up and started to run with it.
I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt but believe mistakes were made with my order. If mistakes were NOT made, then there are definitely some issues with suppliers and communication back with DHI. I feel both situations warrant a lower rating. The simplest answer is things were not requested from the vendor until much later and no one wanted to admit that to me.
It's water under the bridge for sure as we finally did receive what we paid for, but it will give me pause next time I go looking for furniture. DHI offers great stuff through their catalog, so it's hard to say I would never give them another try and possibly even update this rating...

He sincerely apologized on behalf of their team for the miscommunication with my order and put me on the priority list to contact. My sleeper sofa was delivered 2 days ago and I really like it. Delivery was smooth: they texted me couple of times to arrange the best time for my delivery and been on time. After my delivery was done George was calling me one more time to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. After all I feel I have to give them credit especially to the owner. I hope in the future he would have to make less and less phone calls to customers to solve problems.
First time buying from them and very disappointed about their customer service. Ordered a sleeping sofa on June 24 with stated lead time of 6-10 weeks. After 8 weeks decided to follow up since I do import business myself and understand all what's going on with shipping and such. Called customer service beginning of August, customer service lady took notes of my order and sent email to both me and sales asking to follow up. No response for 2 weeks at all. So I've emailed back on that thread sharing my frustration about lack of feedback and asking to give me any update or I'd have to cancel my order. Still no response from anyone. In order to keep business going at least need to keep your customers informed.    Read moreJust a few thoughts about my experience with DHI Dream Home Interiors. My wife and I made the drive to the store in Buford looking for a new bed. When we walked in we were greeted by Sherrie who was extremely helpful WITHOUT being pushy in that fairly typical salesperson way. You know what Iâm talking about, Iâm sure. She explained that the inventory on display was only a fraction of what was actually available and then left us to look around at our leisure. When we didnât find what we were looking for on the sales floor she brought us over to the computer and let us look until we found just the piece we were looking for. After working out all the necessary details we left the store commenting on how this was, by far, the easiest furniture purchase we had ever made. When it was time for delivery of the furniture the staff of DHI was again extremely helpful. Elizabeth kept us updated on the status of the delivery and e-mailed when the furniture arrived in their warehouse. We received a call from the delivery team exactly when Elizabeth said we should expect it. The delivery team called again, as promised, when they were on the way to make the delivery. They were on time and extremely friendly and efficient when they arrived. So, if you are looking for a reasonable price on furniture and excellent customer service to go with it, please go see the good people at DHI in Buford.
