Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe venue and entertainment/activities are just fine, but the service is extremely poor. Before a group of my friends went, I researched all of the fees and costs associated with playing games there. We were primarily interested in playing laser tag so I weighed the single-game cost against the unlimited cost, as well as the Tuesday Special. The Unlimited Laser Tag was $21.49. However, on Tuesdays, they run a special that offers unlimited bowling and video games for $10.99 each. It also offers unlimited laser tag and bumper cars for only an additional $5.99.
So when we arrived at the bowling alley, one of our friends had already checked out and had gotten the $10.99+$5.99 special for unlimited bowling and laser tag.
The rest of us went to check out and it was very frustrating. At first, the guy at the counter acted like he had no idea what I was talking about and wanted us to pay the $21.49 for laser tag ONLY. I showed him the Tuesday Special on the website, but he still didnāt believe that there was a special. He kind of milled around and didnāt seem to know what he was doing. I then showed him the receipt that our friend had received, and he said he would have to check with his manager... but he clearly didnāt want to (he didnāt even move until said āyeah, that would be great!ā). He then spent about 10 minutes or so wandering around the bowling alley trying to find his manager, before returning and telling us that it would be $21.49 and that whoever had honored the special offer for our friend had messed up.
Yes, itās only a few dollars, but with a group it adds up. Also, his behavior was unprofessional at best, as he seemed to be lazy and uncaring. If the deal is on the website (and offered at this location, and thereās no reason that Tuesday, January 5th would fall under the āblack out datesā), then the employees should honor it. Even if they give us the deal and then change the website, it is really poor service to bring customers in under the pretense that they will only have to pay one amount and then you pretend that deal never even existed (even though you gave it to another customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI spent yesterday's evening at Stars and Strikes with my two kids. We had a very nice hour at the bowling alley. Lane 22 had some problems, which were fixed promptly and relocated to lane 21. The entire staff of bowling alley were accomodating and kind. Kara provided very good food and excellent service. We wanted to play air hockey, but puck was missing and had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to help us. I waited at the ticket counter for a while and went around to find someone else without seeing another employee at the arcade area. Later on, waiting back at ticket counter, another employee came to tell us that nothing could be done until the next day. We went to play basketball hoops to find a ball missing in the middle of my daughter's game, cought on the roof of clown throwing game. Knowing of limited help in the area, I went to retrieve it and a young lady, who I recognized as the person who delivered our food, came very aggresively to tell me not to do it, when I explained the situation she cut me off to say that I needed to find someone and I did not, while staring. I told her that she needed to go. She sent a person from the kitchen, whom I thought was a supervisor, to confront again asking me if I told her to get out of my face. I clarified and explained what really took place and at that point I needed to make a complaint. I asked for manager's name and he did not tell me. When I asked him to call him, he told me to go find him. I believe the employee's name of original exchange was Gaby. I had to find Ryan on my own, who listened carefully and told me that going on my own to get ball is something they ask customers not to do. He addresed issue with employee right away, according to my younger son. Tone matters! I understood employee's youth, but approach was too aggressive and sending another confrontational employee made it very unpleasant.
