Delivery time at time of purchase was stated six weeks, which was already ridiculous but we were willing to accept, given that we have purchased so many bags of soil in previous years and had no issue. We called once a week to try and get a better, more precise delivery window. Only two of our calls were ever even answered, but both times our question was met with a nervous giggle, a shoulder shrug and a firm "we don't know; there is no way to know when your soil will be delivered." Super professional. Well, the stated delivery date arrived and we received a text message that stated our delivery would arrive in the next two hours. Those hours came and went, and the delivery day ended with no soil. We called Dawsonville but no one answers the phone most days. We finally reached out to SuperSod corporate customer service and for the first time since we purchased this order someone took ownership of the process. After getting corporate customer service involved, the Dawsonville office finally got around to calling us, only to say now our delivery would possibly be around April 29, another full week. By now, our seedlings are suffering for want of being planted. We were foolish to wait this long and foolish to trust the process and for assuming Dawsonville knew how to run their business and take care of their customers and the SuperSod brand. What a shame. We will never source soil from Dawsonville again. They have a myriad of excuses for what went wrong, from rain to lost order paperwork, but none of it amounts to making things right. We gladly accepted our full refund from corporate SuperSod and we will personally make sure everyone we know and interact with on a personal and professional level takes their soil orders elsewhere. Dawsonville clearly needs to be shut down until their policies and practices can be overhauled and their customer service can be necromanced back to an operational level becoming of the SuperSod brand. Do better. Save the excuses. Spare the indignation. Do better. Hammer out the many kinks of your operations, overhaul your processes until you figure out what you're doing. Sell dirt at a reasonable, competitive price. Deliver dirt dependably, with clearly communicated, consistently fulfilled commitments on delivery times. Do better. *update 04/24/2024: Manager Mitchell J. personally called and explained his desire to make things right. He listened to the retelling of our experience, took ownership of the failed, broken processes which resulted in this issue unbeknownst to him, and apologized. He offered to make things right, and for all of that and for taking the time to personally call, we are appreciative. We have ordered multiple bags of soil from this service center before and never had an issue before this time, it just so happens that this time was epically bad all around - until Mitchell jumped in and got it corrected. We renew our confidence going forward that the persons and processes will be addressed in a comprehensive, constructive way which will ensure that this experience was what it appears to have been - an outlier, an isolated and unique, albeit unfortunate one-time experience. Thank you to SuperSod customer service and also for Dawsonville manager Mitchell for going above and beyond to take ownership, show a bias for action, and to listen to the customer and for partnering with us to problem solve and overcome...
Read moreThis company does not stand behind their work! and are not dependable the person who came to my house from this company his name is Scott he is a pastor of a church as he stated. When they came to my house on the first initial visit we walked around and talked about what we were needing to stop the erosion from the freshly new dirt we had applied to the backyard to flatten it out and make it level. They told me that I would need fescue grass and jute grass for this application. After a month and a half the grass started to come up and looked great in some spots but there were a lot of empty spots so I called them to see what we could do immediately over the phone they told me the grass that I had requested was a temporary fix because we were going to put a pool in. Over a couple of months we did not put the pool in because of the virus going around and wanted to save the money for a second to see what happened. Another month had passed and the grass was not doing well so I made another phone call and they sent someone out and he spent about 45 minutes throwing some more grass seed on the ground we then went out of town to Daytona for a week vacation and came back and the grass continually dies and there’s nothing but hay straw left on the ground when I called Scott to see what his recommendation was he insisted on blaming me for the grass application by saying that that’s what I requested end it really needed fertilizing and topsoil before the grass application was put down but none of that was discussed on the first initial visit we went round and round on the phone for about 10 minutes with no resolution and they do not want to take responsibility I was charged over $3000 for grass does not growDo not use this company they will rip you off and blame it on you If it doesn’t grow right They also work under the...
Read moreI made the mistake of choosing this business based upon the beautiful pictures on FB. The first job they did for me, although relatively simple, was done to satisfaction. The second was not. It was a small job requiring removing rotting 4x6s around 2 AC units. Twelve years worth of work along the side of my house was destroyed. Large and small rocks were buried under dirt, 4 large oil stains were left on my concrete drive and the stones I selected were not what I selected from two samples. The “landscapers” walked all over my plants. Fortunately, they are perennials and will come back in the spring. Beware, what you see on the FB page or the website, it may not be...
