Let us start by saying that Brian, Kenny, and Jade are top-notch! Responsive to every email, friendly and professional. The food tasting was great and the taste and value of the food we chose (initially) were excellent! The guests at our daughter's wedding were raving about the food, the drinks, and the service and we will say that DCFG's staff of servers, waiters, waitresses, and bartenders were wonderful, friendly, and courteous. We received nothing but praise from our guests! This being said, we did experience troublesome issues with the quality of service and value for the money… Quality of service: Earlier in the afternoon Chef Cass informed me that the DCFG lead in charge that day was C**, someone with whom we had never worked. However, before our event, we were told by DCFG owner Brian and assistant Kenny that another DCFG member would be the lead for our event. Imagine our surprise when this turned out to be incorrect. It was not until after our event, via email, that I learned from Brian that two other leads were in fact in charge that afternoon/evening. Now, for us, this was a glaring oversight; Therefore, when we encountered an issue whereby our guests were being served dinner in the dark, (and our wedding planner, EY Events, being totally ineffective by this time!) it turns out we were looking for, and complaining about this issue to the wrong DCFG lead person and thus the situation was not rectified to our satisfaction. We passionately believe that had initial communication between the DCFG team leads and ourselves initialized, issues and communication between ourselves, the wedding planner, and DCFG leads would have been much smoother, leading to a 'less stressful' evening for all concerned. Value for the money: Late-night bites were contracted to be served to all our guests before the end of the evening, however, only the guests inside the dance area, nearest the kitchen, were served. Those guests sitting outside at the dining/bar area (me included) were never served. Equally disappointing was the premature disappearance that evening of the late-night Café Cart we contracted specifically for use by any 'tipsy' guests at the close of the event late that evening. Our guests were looking forward to a late-night colada or espresso before hitting the road! Scheduled and contracted as operational for 2 hours that evening, 9:45 P.M. - 11:45 P.M., DCFG staff had already removed the cart by 11:30 P.M. and packed it away. Therefore, the Café Carts' primary reason for being at the event that evening was nullified. Overall, our experience with DCFG was quite positive throughout the many months of prep time, and the fact that professionalism was the 'catch-phrase' always, the food was terrific and the value for all the food and staff services contracted for was particularly good. That said, we believe the lack of proper communication between DCFG management and ourselves, specifically where it concerns those in charge the day of the event, plus their inability to adhere to some of the specifics outlined in the contract as far food service times, areas of food service and adherence to detailed seating charts/floor plans has left a somewhat bitter taste in the mouth… so to speak. Therefore, be sure you know who will be in charge on the day of your event, that they are well-briefed on all the details of the expected contracted job at hand, and that you feel comfortable enough to be able to go to them for any issues at any time during your event. In this way, you may be able to avoid having...
Read moreDCFG we’re always very responsive through email and phone calls. They were all so nice and our tasting when amazing. We worked with them a little over a year on our wedding dinner and rehearsal dinner. However, the day of both events some miscommunications happened about our bar services. As well as both nights, the liquor was kept out and was hot. People who ordered shots said they were very warm and nasty. Rehearsal dinner costs were covered by family and they were asking me about these bar issues. Which causes extra stress on me as the bride. The wedding day was another bar miscommunication. This happened right before our ceremony was to start so naturally I started to freak out. They said I was to provide all the liquor for our signature drinks but I was never told that the whole year. Besides our one signature which had bubbly in it, but we ended up changing that drink anyways. I believe both of these incidents could of be resolved without informing us and the stress of it could of Ben avoided. Also, these personalized drink stirrers I had brought weren’t passed out with our signature drinks. Guests were using their fingers to stir their drinks. I found my stirrers sitting on the bar in their box the next morning. That was annoying for me as I had worked hard on all the little details of our wedding. The food in our wedding night was spectacular. We booked the station services, and we received many compliments on the dinner. Although, we were told by DCFG that we would have a ton of leftovers and we received no leftovers of anything. Our rehearsal dinner food though was very dry. We booked the buffet services. The chicken and fish were not very good. We did receive a ton of left overs from rehearsal but nobody wanted to eat them again. Overall, I still do recommend DCFG. I just think the office people we spoke to all year long and the actual staff who came to the venue maybe need to communicate better? I’m not real sure what...
Read moreI honestly don’t even know where to start with this review..DCFG is the most amazing group of rockstar people and they are legit the G.O.A.T. I literally want to redo our entire wedding again JUST to work with DCFG for a 2nd time. Hands down, DCFG was our favorite vendor (shh don’t tell our other vendors lol).
From the very beginning of wedding planning, finding DCFG was like finding a miracle. We had just been quoted $11,000 for a taco bar for 80 people by an unnamed vendor in the FL Keys. Tears were shed, we talked about cancelling the wedding - it was a bad time and we definitely lost all hope of planning an affordable wedding. Then by the grace of god we stumbled upon DCFG and reached out. Brian immediately called us, reviewed our menu & pricing and I’ll never forget him saying, “we got you - we’ll hook you guys up.” And he was right. We had passed Hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour, steak, chicken, multiple sides, multiple salads, late night bites, AND they supplied mixers for our bar and it all came in cheaper than the taco bar quote.
DCFG was AMAZING through the planning process. They answered our 100 questions with no delay, we’re always responsive and somehow always had us covered. They worked with us through our changes in guest count, dietary restrictions, etc. We truly felt like there was nothing DCFG couldn’t do.
On the actual wedding day they over delivered. It was insane. The food was the best food we have ever had. They cooked it fresh on site, had the kindest employees, and at dinner time their head chef went around table to table asking our guests how their meal was. Now, almost 3 months after the wedding (April 29, 2023) we are still getting notes from our guests about how amazing the food was. We couldn’t imagine our wedding without DCFG. And you honestly shouldn’t either. No vendor could ever beat their prices, quality, service, and just overall peace of mind.
HUGE thank you to the DCFG team....
