Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Cutler Bay

This review is 2 stars because upon check out there was only ONE -1- cashier, who was also working returns. When it was my turn, another lady went behind the counter across the way & checked me out while the line behind me was growing. What I thought was cool is that they have Amazon lockers so if you're afraid of porch pirates, you can get you order delivered there. This location is in a Publix shopping center so there's usually decent parking. Their selection is pretty vast. From shoes to jewelry, suitcases, clothes, belts, pet items, household furnishings and decorations, tools, food and snacks for prices that are better (most of the time) than the other department stores. It's always fun to go in and look around to see what strikes your fancy. They have a sign to wear your mask. 😷 The cash registers all have a Plexiglas shield in front of each station. While there, I needed to use the restroom, which was by the dressing rooms. They were locked so the dressing room lady buzzed me it. I was the only one in there and felt relativity safe. I needed a gift for a guy and was wandering around to see what I could find. I came across a Goodyear tool set- what guy doesn't like tools? That and a pair of cargo shorts. I felt uncomfortable, I went to this store for the first time with my daughter, I bought several things and at the exit I was waiting for a security man to check the store bag, I agreed and showed him my receipt, first time something like this happens to me and I don't understand the reason, the store was super empty and he saw me paying for each of my items because I paid everything right at the cash register that is glued to the exit, I took my receipt and wrote it with a Highletter, I felt Uncomfortable how I check my things as if I had taken something without paying for it, something that he could see because I repeat, I paid at the cash register that is next to the exit! This location is situated beside a closed Kmart. It's a smaller location than other stores. Shopping at this Ross is not what it used to be. 85% of the store is clothing crammed between racks. Home accessories not much to choose from. I didn't purchase anything because there was nothing interesting to purchase. Funny how Ross TJ Maxx and Marshalls are the same company, but merchandise does differ from location to location. I would prefer to go to a larger Ross that would have a greater selection of merchandise especially accessories and home decor such as small items of furniture. It's best you visit a...
