My 20 year old cat named Christina had a tumor burst. My poor baby had a huge hole on her left side. The vet I used to take my pets to hired new doctors and were horrible so I needed a new veterinarian and fast. VETCO (Palmetto Bay Animal Hospital) told us to bring her in. After explaining to the doctor that she was 20 years old, blind, def, was diagnosed with cancer and needed to be put down to avoid a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering he said he wouldn't put her to sleep without doing an x-ray and blood work. I was shocked! Seriously? It was obvious to anyone that she was very old and with the cancerous tumor bursting you'd think that the vet wouldn't want to lengthen her suffering. But, after talking to him for a short time he agreed to do an x-ray for $50 instead of $300+ which was nice of him. After doing the x-ray, he confirmed that she had cancer and should be put to sleep. They then did what I hated having to do and put my furry family member that had been with us for 2 decades to sleep. The staff was kind, the doctor was compassionate and I would definitely bring my pets here. Just make sure they don't try running up a huge bill by preying on your emotions. I would've given every penny I have to them if Christina could've been saved without her having to suffer but that wasn't possible. Make sure you do your research and know what you need so you don't get charged for unnecessary tests but besides that I would recommend them for your pets...
Read moreI am incredibly grateful to Palmetto Bay Animal Hospital for the exceptional care they provided to my dog after a traumatic dog attack that left his ear split in half. The receptionist was compassionate and provided great customer service during a very stressful time.
The vet tech was amazing. She was so caring and made me feel like my dog was in great hands from the moment we arrived. Her attentiveness and gentle approach reassured me that my dog was receiving the best possible care.
Dr. Faria, was the best I have ever met. Not only was she compassionate and professional, but she also took the time to explain everything to me in detail. In the past, I often felt rushed and left with questions after visiting vets, but Dr. Faria made sure all my concerns were addressed and took the time to ease my anxieties. You can tell she truly knows her stuff.
Throughout the healing process, the staff kept in touch and showed genuine concern for my dog’s recovery. Thanks to their dedicated care, my dog's ear healed beautifully, and now that his hair is growing back, it's like the injury never happened.
If I could give more stars, I would. Highly recommend Palmetto Bay Animal Hospital for their outstanding service and...
Read moreToday I received the worst ever customer service In the 25 years that I lived in this country. I feel beyond insulted and humiliated. I made an appointment online 4 days ago for today Saturday August 2, at 5:30 pm. I arrived at 5:25 and to my surprise, I was informed that I had to make the line (8 customers with their pets). I asked myself, so what's the point in getting an appointment. I decided to wait, since my cat needed urgent de-worming treatment. After 2 hours waiting in line, and when there was only 1 customer before me, the assistant informed me that the doctor was leaving and she was not taking any more customers. She offered to reschedule the appointment in 2 weeks and to give me a 20% discount. I begged them to please just apply the de-worming shot to my cat, I can come back some other day for the rest. "The doctor did not accept". That was the answer, no explanation. I am not coming back to this awful place. I took my other cat to the Pet Supermarket walk in clinic last week, three blocks from there, no appointment, no issues, in and out in less than 20 minutes. Please don't let this people ruin your day. They don't deserve...
