Sushi Bay — Restaurant in Palmetto Bay

Amazing sushi! Amazing service! Amazing experience! I’m so glad my hubby and I went to check this place out for date night (6-28-‘24).

I googled “best sushi” near me and this was the highest rated place. I’ve once we arrived I realized I had been here years ago when it was a different sushi restaurant.

We were the first customers to arrive right as they opened at 6:30. We got the VIP treatment! We met the chef, Kenny and the waitress, Sydney (I apologize if I misspelled your name). They were both so friendly and kind. It was great getting to know them.

They have a wide variety of wines and sake. I had a glass of the Pinot Grigio. My husband had a Japanese beer that he’d never heard of, but really liked. We were offered an organic cucumber salad as a free starter, but I personally don’t like sweetened cucumbers. Give it a try if you’re into that.

For dinner we shared the sashimi platter, the orgasm roll, and a roll with 4 tuna pieces and 4 sushi pieces. Everything was SO GOOD! I highly recommend the orgasm roll! The fish was fresh, tasty and perfectly mixed with the other ingredients to create a delicious and delightful experience!

Our chef, Kenny, also preforms on the guitar when he gets the opportunity. We didn’t have the pleasure of hearing him play that night....

Although Sushi Bay Miami boarders Cutler Bay & Palmetto Bay, which really aren’t small towns, you get BIG TOWN, Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, QUALITY - FLAVOR & EXPERIENCE for a low PRICE! This place is the epitome of the “best sushi”. The humble owner works his tail off ensuring every dish that goes out is of top notch. I’m talking from the appetizer, cucumber salad to the rolls, Sarah sunshine, one of my many favorites! Even the tap water is triple filtered. Don’t quote me on that though, I know it’s filtered. For crying out loud the fake crab “Kani” sushi lovers eat that everyone else offers, he doesn’t because it breaks down the quality and flavor of the rolls. What does he use instead? I’m glad you asked, REAL LUMP CRAB! Do yourself a favor, give Sushi Bay Miami a call for a reservation or call to make sure they aren’t PACKED, you will...

Update: Kenny is still the absolute BEST! We made dinner reservations for Valentine's Day and Kenny made us all feel so special, again. The food was spectacular. We can't wait to go back!

Kenny, we LOVE you! Thank you for making our family feel so special tonight. It did not go unnoticed that you learned all of our names and interacted with us during dinner. The food was incredible, we had the cucumber salad, crab rangoons, crispy rice, volcano roll, and orange dragon roll. Victoria (our picky 10 year old) said this is her favorite in the world. We'll be seeing you again very soon!
