My family and I absolutely loved visiting Grandpa Joes! The employee was friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The candy buffet was so much better than I had anticipated. The boxes seemed small but looks were deceiving. You can cram a lot in there.. the variety was endless. The options ranged from chocolates to individual wrapped favorites, to m&ms or Reese pieces, to wax bottles & even UFO wafers! It was enough to make even the pickiest happy. Such a great idea for a gift, a date idea, or build one for yourself! They also had a large selection of sodas, toys, gadgets and random items. Their cold candy case by the register featured everything from truffles, to chocolate covered pretzels, fudge & even whipped caramels. Of course, I went a little crazy and wanted to buy everything. I had a chance to visit this location last night and immediately fell in love! So many different candies ..so many options. Even the staff was nice and helpful. on our way out I saw the jelly bean display..WOOOWW. I am a jelly bean fanatic. I lost my oldest child last year and every year since he was born, on his bday we would buy jelly beans. When he turned 15 we did jelly bean wars were we would find and chose who had The best jelly beans. So of course I had to buy some jelly beans in honor or my wonderful Son. Thank you so much. The shop is kind of cute, has a decent variety of candy, but lacked the charm I would expect from a name like “grandpa Joe’s.” I expected to see more of an old soda shop style with glass jars of candy with that wholesome “good old days” feel. Which leads me to the biggest disappointment… the profanity filled merchandise. Why does a candy shop need to sell socks and oven mitts with profanity? Grandpa Joe would be ashamed.
