Well, first off, I hope that the owners of Spring Creek BBQ will read this review. It is very unfortunate that I have to get on here and make a sad review about such a wonderful place that this could be. I come here at least twice a month and every time it's the same. I go in and order the exact same thing every time. 3 meat plate that comes with 2 sides, and it's a little over $22 bucks. You grab the tray and silverware and tell them what you want. Then the servers proceed to ask you what meats you would like. It's always the same for me. Pork spare ribs, fatty brisket, and turkey. Then, they proceed to cut the meats one by one. The way they cut the meat seems like they are rationing for the end of times, and there's no more food left in the world. I'm a cook as well, and I've done my fair share of large catering cookouts. I understand the smaller quantity of food to serve the entire day, but they literally give you about a less than a 1/3 of a pound of food. That is absurd for $22 plus dollars plus your drinks. I would understand the price if the portions were a tad big larger. They cut it in front of you, and you know these small portions come from the upper management. It's sad that some of the BBQ places do this and put quantity over quality. The food is good, but this is a big downfall in my eyes. If the portions were better served, I would visit very much more often. You can tell I'm telling the truth about how good the food is, because I keep coming back. Management really needs to step up their game. Also, every time I come in, they're about a 1/4 full of customers in the business. Maybe there's a corelation between serving sizes and incoming customers...
Read moreOh yes! Great food, comfortable place, kind and funny staff.
After eye shopping at the premium outlets, we decided to drive down 10 minutes to this place. Easy access from 290. Me and my guest ordered the “Brisket & Sausage Combination”. The two cooks in the meat section sang back to us our order in a classic southern melody, very fun way to start your meal. Then we chose our sides from a not very big selection but just what you need, and you could fit as much as you could in your plate (that’s a lot). Then some toppings and finally the drinks and the cashier. Prices are reasonable, about $12-16 per plate and $2.45 drinks. Before I sat down I picked a Cajun Hot Sauce that really hit the spot. The Brisket was tasteful and very... Texan. The sausage was awesome; the sides and toppings tasty. Half way through, a lady was walking by with a basket of freshly baked bread, offering every table (for free). One more warm and fresh bun was great to finish up. She even came again after I was done!
Throughout the dine, we could hear the cooks singing quick A Capelas of the orders, almost all different. Interviews for cooks must be weird here. Left with a full stomach, warm heart, and a Texas sized smile. Thanks you guys; will be back. Cheers!

Read moreWow, as others have stated, this place has gone downhill in a HUGE way. A quick recap of last night's dining experience; so we noticed that they don't even toast buns for sandwiches as they are ordered, rather they have them pre-toasted. Gross. The girl who was slicing the meat helped herself to a piece right in front of us. Yep, popped it right in her mouth in plain view. Gross. Speaking of meat, the spicy sausage was extremely dry and certainly was not spicy.
The condiments were sad looking. You know, the pickles, peppers, etc. Looked like they had been drowning in brine for a LONG time and certainly did not look fresh at all. Same can be said for the lemon slices for the iced tea... looked slimy. And now they added a gratuity option when you're checking out. Yeah, I'm not giving gratuity for simply preparing my food when I haven't even tasted it yet.
Pretty sad experience and certainly forgettable. We've been coming here for over 10 years now and it actually used to be pretty good. I mean, the BBQ has always been meh but now everything else is also meh. Certainly no reason to go back to Spring Creek. One star for the fresh bread and one star for the baked potatoes but skip the bacon because they don't seem to make that fresh in...
