Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Cypress

This is one of the most shady Ross stores you can go to. I know many times people post bad reviews over good ones but this was not the first bad experience I’ve had at this location. I’d told myself I should stop shopping there...but here I was trying it out again.

This time, I found a Calvin Klein reversible jacket for $16.99. I was extremely excited after checking two different discount type stores to find a casual jacket for the season. I spent about 20 min looking in this store 8 min trying the jacked and a few pair of jeans on and about 20-25 min waiting in line. When I placed my things on the counter, I stepped away quickly to check the price of a purse. I came back to the woman saying I owed about $65. I asked what kind of tax was this and said the price was $16.99. She opened the coat and showed me a tag (randomly placed in the middle of the back) that was for $59. I’d tried the reversible coat on - both ways, and did NOT see a tag in the middle of the back (you know, the same way a person would to INSPECT and see what was WRONG with the product - I assumed someone returned it). AND on the way to the line, I saw a different woman trying on the same jacket (with the side where this tag suddenly appeared facing outside - but no tag on hers)... I asked her about the tag on the sleeve and said I’d not seen the tag she was showing me and she tore the tag on the sleeve it off and rang it up to tell me it was for different product (which BTW the tag was for the coat and the sticker did NOT say whatever product she claimed the $16.99 was for AND tags are usually on the sleeve or neck line...why this one was in the middle of the back, idk...hmmmmm.

It was my first time coming to this location and it will be my last. Their lost prevention employee, Nathan or Nathaniel, was completely disturbing. I can’t help but feel like this was a racist or discriminatory act. The minute I walked in the store he had an unpleasant demeanor towards me. As soon as another customer walked in he greeted them with a smile. Furthermore, I left my cart for 2 seconds to check out a blouse in my isle and he took it upon himself to take my cart back to the front of the store. All the meanwhile, I’m following him saying “sir I’m still using that”. He blatantly disregarded me and continued to put my cart up. I feel like I was a target of some sort of hate. I will be advising my other friends who look like “me” to stay clear of this location until something is...

The store assistant manager name Shawn was very rude and uneducated when talking to customers. Yesterday, I went there to buy my kids 2 toys that are exactly the same. But one has a clearance tag on in the other one doesn’t. So I asked her if there might be that they forget to put the clearance tag on the other because the 2 toys was exact same thing. She said no, she will charge me with one regular price and one sale price. It happen to me before and they alway fix it to match price because they told me that sometimes they forget to put clearance tag on some items that are the same. This lady is totally rude.
