Mia Nails & Brows — Local services in Cypress

I’ve been coming here for some time now I would have rated it higher bc the ladies here seem so friendly and nice and people should really give them a try. Sadly, I just didn’t have a great experience today. Usually, Jane does my nails and for the most part very pleased with the results. She usually does my sisters and my hands but on today’s visit she had another tech Michelle do my nails maybe she was busy but she was scheduled to do both of our nails per usual.

Both of us are very particular when it comes to nails. We go for basic nail color in gel builder and no design, but we prefer our shapes to match or at least match to best of their abilities on each finger.

But on today’s visit Michelle had her nail machine on a high setting causing my nails to burn on more than one occasion I hope this does not cause any ring of fire damaging my nails beds. Not everyones nail beds or cuticles are built the same.

I came here for a gel x manicure about a week ago. Jane did my nails. I got ombre in coffin shape for $63 (I received 10% off for being a new customer, which is a coupon available on their website). The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because one of my nails cracked within 3 days of the service. I went back to get it fixed and they did for free (upon my insistence). 2 days later, another nail chipped. I went back to get it fixed and paid $5. I've been doing gel x on my nails for about 9 months now and have never had this kind of experience. I also was on a business trip, so it wasn't like I was doing anything excessively strenuous with hands beyond general wear and tear. I found them online and had the best experience ever. I shed a tear writing this review. Not only do they do good work, Jane and the rest of the staff are very nice and professional. Also, I feel they're more concerned with the health of your feet and nails and most salons do not care. I was shocked when I was asked what shape I wanted, they also advised/suggested what they felt would be best and they were absolutely right. My nails and feet looked absolutely beautiful and I left very happy. Also, I didn't wait, they were waiting for me when I walked in. The salon is very clean and located in a safe area.
