Review for the grooming service only. More specifically, getting nails trimmed:
Very friendly & caring groomers. Either my Dad or I take our very "senior" dachshund, Buddy, in to get his nails trimmed. He shakes like a leaf every single time & we don't get him in as often as we should b/c of that, but there are a couple of groomers that always recognize him instantly. When I bring him in alone, one of the girls (I forget her name but she is usually there in the afternoon) always asks how my father is doing as well. Her love of dogs radiates out like light from the sun, and Buddy relaxes as soon as he's in her arms. If his nails are pretty long & they aren't busy she'll usually use the grinder to get his nails as short as possible w/o the upcharge associated with going from clipping nails to grinding them. Buddy always comes out acting like a puppers, even if she uses clippers & catches a quick, which is pretty rare.
Honestly, I don't think I, nor Buddy, has had a bad experience here. We did have one issue regarding the closing time for grooming, but that could have been avoided by simply calling instead of using Google for hours. Basically, if you're a walk-in looking for something simple/quick like a nail trim, be sure to call ahead/get there 30 minutes before the posted...
Read moreI don't want to put my pet's name I don't want to name the employee but the only one thing I would like to say is Joey the manager in the grooming section is the best of the best. I went with my pup yesterday. I paid for the package but for some reason the groomer forgot to do certain things. When I contacted Petco they were nice on phone. They connected me to Joey. He gave me an appointment for today I went there. He was very kind and humble. He saw what I was talking about he realized his employees mistake. He even apologized for his employee's mistake and fix it. What more a good manager can do. I bugged in corporate world for almost 18 years and I see Joey is a good manager. He has all the qualities and capabilities whatever is required for this position and any other bigger positions. I really appreciate whatever Joey did for me today because me and my wife decided to avoid Petco next time. But Joey by helping me today and taking care of my pup. Made us a satisfied customer. I I suggest whenever you go to Ball road Petco. You have any questions or any complaints talk to Joy trust me he'll fix it with a smile. Read moreI recently had an unpleasant experience with an online order that I feel compelled to share. I ordered four items online because they were listed as in stock. Shortly after placing my order, I received an email stating that my order was ready for pick-up, although one item had been canceled. This was not the first time this had happened, so I was understanding, knowing they manage hundreds of items and some errors can occur.
Upon arriving at the store, I was able to pick up only two of the remaining items due to a shortage. When I inquired about the missing items, the staff member assured me that I would receive a refund soon. I confirmed with her that I would receive a confirmation email and the refund promptly, to which she affirmed. However, it has been two days and I am still waiting for my refund.
Moreover, the staff member's attitude was quite dry, and I felt as though I was inconveniencing her. This made the experience uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is contrary to the usually friendly service I have received in the past.
Because of this experience, I have decided that I will no longer use the pick-up service and will opt for delivery...
