Milan Nails & Spa — Local services in Cypress

Please beware! After going through a rough year of IVF treatments we finally made it to the implementation stage. After taking time off of work to relax for a week I went to the salon to continue that relaxation with the hopes that positivity leads to a great outcome, a baby! Boy was I wrong! After complete long my nails I pay and go to my car (parked at the first spot out the door) and look down for my keys and my diamond wedding ring is gone!! I run back into the store and start searching every where. My wedding band is still on so I know I had both items when I walked in. The lady could have easily slipped my ring off when she cleaned the lotion off my hands with a towel. I have spoken to the owner several times. I have cried for days. The owner refuses to take any ownership. I even told her I would claim it on my homeowners insurance and she should have some responsibility for taking a portion of the deductible, she refuses! At this point I believe the ring was stolen. Years of infertility, you try to relax, and this happens and to top it all of she refuses to take any responsibility. Do not shop here. Stopped in a couple of weeks ago, without an appointment. Staff at front counter was very welcoming and immediately accommodated my daughter to get her nails done. Since I was curious about services offered to males, I asked about a Pedicure. They also immediately seated me for service. My daughters' nails came out flawless, and she was extremely happy. My pedicure was awesome as well. The technicians were very friendly and polite, for the most part.

*Short of 5 stars for two reasons: -Trying to continually up-sale my daughter with a higher quality nail polish, when I wasn't looking was not a cool move. I made it very clear that I was only interested in the baseline service. -Continual talking between the employees in a different language. Can't be sure, but several times it seemed as if they were talking about how I corrected them on not wanting to buy the higher grade nail polish. Constant chatter between them is distracting too, but overall the job got done to...

So backstory: i’ve been going to another salon for YEARS. They used to be so great but now I can’t find a single person there who doesn’t do my nails poorly (and i usually only get a solid color done. I left a FOUR star review instead of a five and the manager asked me to take it down next time I saw her.

FAST FORWARD to today: I needed my nails done but I really didn’t want to go to my usual place so I started scouring the internet for a new place and a tech people trusted. After reading plenty of positive reviews, I decided to call Milan and see if I could get an appointment with Trish. They fit me in, I showed her what I wanted and she got right to work. I just have to say, her work is absolutely phenomenal. I’ve been afraid to do this design at my old place because I knew they would screw it up one way or another. I’m also kinda picky lol
