This was unfortunately my first and last time at this place. I wish I read all reviews before going. Well, I learned a lesson a hard way and $105 less.
I don’t even know where to start because I’m not big fan of writing reviews. I guess I will start with arrival. It was good and we were not rushed through color picking, even though we arrived 30 minutes ahead of time. I sent a message through Facebook messenger to change my appointment to 2 pm. I came in with my 6 year old that needed mani and pedi as well. We were sitted in chairs next to each other. I picked $40 pedicure and a Lady asked me what type of pedicure I wanted for my 6 years old one. I explained to her that there is $30 deal for kids mani/pedi combo. I had a lady trying to do my manicure at the same time as a pedicure which I refused. I understand that they are trying to save their own time but it doesn’t do any good for the client that came in to relax and enjoy themselves. It felt rushed. I asked for some white wine for me and Sprite for my kid. Honestly, that’s the only reason why she ever comes with me( soda or cansy rules). None of that was brought in but 2 cups of lemon water in single use cups. Ok, I thought- may be that will be brought in later. Nothing. Because of the heat and being thirsty, I didn’t pay attention to a cup itself. I wish I noticed it right away. It had light brown lipstick on it! So disgusting!!!! They reused used cup! My lipstick was red. Pictures attached. Unbelievable thought to myself and checked my kids cup. At least her single use cup was not previously used. If they are reusing cups, now it makes me think that manicure tools might be reused as well. My daughter’s mani and pedi was good and she really liked the colors she picked. I was trying to find the same red for shellac as for my toenails ( regular polish). I was offered something red but not exactly the same color. Not many options for colors. I guess I can live with it for 3 weeks. Foot massage was good and relaxing. The only thing is that not all toenails were properly cut and now I’m stuck with cutting 2 toenails on right foot myself. Alright, I thought, i can live with it- no big deal, considering that lady that worked on me asked about them. The question is do they do not see or not paying attention that some of them are not cut or, they simply just don’t care? While my daughter was still working on, I moved for manicure. I asked for a glass of white wine again and she put white polish in front of me. I guess I was not understood. Oh, well.
Have you ever had experience with moving your cuticles with tech own nails? Well, I did. It was horrible! Why in the world would you use your own fake nails to move clients’s cuticles??? Is it hard to use special tools? I honestly was ready to leave without finishing up my manicure but was to afraid to scare my little daughter and bring her a very bad experience leaving the salon like that. I honestly thought that technician would use tolls after but I was wrong again. Finally, it was all over and we went for a payment. I counted $105 ($30 for kids mani/pedi, $35 for gel manicure and $40 for pedicure). I was told I owe $110. On the question why, I was explained that’s how it was communicated to her. “Didn’t you have soak your nail from previous shellac?” “No. I didn’t have any polish on my nails at all on hands and regular on toenails “. So, be prepared to pay extra $5 if you currently have shellac and it needs to be removed. Honestly, either it is something new, or I’m way too old. Review is over. Now I’m back to filing my nails on hands because corners are way to sharp and catch everything and cutting those 2 toenails that...
Read moreI went to this salon two days ago (Thursday) and asked for a full set with shellac on top. I was charged $60 and they didn’t even put tips on. Seems pricey for no tips but okay that’s fine. I went to pay with a gift card that I was given for Christmas and they pulled out a loose leaf piece of paper from under the desk with some gift cards numbers written on it. They didn’t have my gift card written down so they went and got a woman out from the back who came up and told me I should have kept the receipt for a gift card I was GIFTED for Christmas. Like ??? The only reason I even went there in the first place was because I had the gift card. Then woman then explained that gift cards are only good for one year which is fine except it was bought 7 months ago. So because they didn’t write it down properly it apparently means nothing. And I asked them if the money is uploaded on the card or if there’s any other (actually legitimate) way they keep track of the money on the gift cards and she said there isn’t a way to scan or swipe the gift card and they just keep it written down on that piece of paper. She asked if the person who bought me the gift card could come up with proof of buying it. I don’t understand how I would have even got the gift card in the first place if it wasn’t bought from there but again whatever. So I explained it’s the middle of the work day and that’s ridiculous I need to call that person while they’re working to see if they have proof of buying a gift card in December. I tried anyways to call her and she didn’t answer. I was then told I need to pay and if I can come up with proof of purchase then I can use the gift card some other time. Had I known I was paying with my own money I would have gone to Gossip. The entire reason I was there was because of the gift card which gave them an opportunity to give a great experience and make me want to switch over from Gossip to here. But they did the exact opposite and I will never go there again. The woman did absolutely nothing to help or correct the situation and honestly made it seem like it was my fault. I highly recommend DO NOT BUY A GIFTCARD for your friends or family from here!!! They hold ZERO value apparently and it’s your job to prove it has value despite them not having an efficient way to track their gift cards. Do...
Read moreBEWARE this location... I went in with my husband a couple days ago. I wanted a mani/Pedi and brought him with me. We've both been working so much and so hard I wanted to treat us. He only wanted a pedi. They sat us down in our chairs after I picked my color. Two women came over to us, and began filling the tubs with water. My husband has a better experience than I did is the only good thing I can say. The lady who started me, left after the tub was full and a man came over. He was not good AT ALL and I don't know why he's even doing nails! I paid over $120 with tip for us both and the nail polish was gloopy, he didn't thin it out so it would spread nice, he didn't pumice my feet, or clean under my toe nails, he used tools that looked like they were already open and used before, and he didn even trim the sides of my big toes for ingrowns. He also didn't even polish my nails after what was the quickest manicure I've ever received. I'm an understanding person, but I also appreciate a job well done and to receive a good service for what I paid for. I opted for the middle priced Pedicure and manicure and I had to fix all the things he didn't do when I got home, it was very frustrating and left me wishing I'd stayed home and just done it myself. I also ended up with a fungus under my big toe, I noticed last night after it wouldn't stop itching. I definitely would have done a better job if I'd done it myself. Times are too hard and money is too tight to splurge on something like this and feel like it wasn't even worth it. I probably won't go back, I'll find a new place and I advice you to do the same. I've been to this location several times because they are right behind my neighborhood, but it's not even convenient anymore. This trip I'm sharing with you was one of a few times I've gone to this location now and the service wasn't good at all and I left feeling like it wasn't worth the money or the...
