I’m very disappointed with the encounter I had with the rude manager at bobo garden. First I would like to say I have been dining with this restaurant since 2017. Today, I found a piece of hair in my rice (I ordered chicken and broccoli). I called the restaurant expressing my frustrations and the manager Kevin asked me to bring the food back. He wanteto verify the hair in the food & explained they were unable to provide refunds over the phone. I come and instantly he is displaying hostile behavior towards me, very short, didn’t even apologize for the piece of hair being in my food and then proceeded to ask me where the rest of the food was. I let him know that after I found the piece of hair in the rice, I threw out the food. His response is what surprised me and in addition to many reasons will cause me to never eat here again. Which was “yes, but the hair was in the rice not in the chicken with broccoli”. Not only was I surprised by his smart remark I was even more amazed to how serious he was with that comment. I let him know I have currently have brown/ blonde hair, which was pushed back in a bun, in addition to the fact that I’ve ordered from here multiple times and have never made a complaint in regards to my food. He then said yes I saw that but we offered to make you a new order. I replied with, why would I remake an order of the chicken and broccoli and receive the same rice that has not been changed. I don’t trust the fact that you guys are following food and safety protocols and I want a refund. He reluctantly provided with the refund. After I left I sat in my car astonished at our horrible interaction and decided I needed to leave a review. I repeatedly called in an attempt to grab the managers name, kevin, in which each time I called the phone was hung up on me. After the 10th time Kevin answered with “yes romy I know that it’s you. We’re very busy right now”. I’m completely understanding like I said I’ve been dining at this restaurant for a very long time. Over the years I have never found anything wrong with my food and I understand mistakes do happen. But what I will not tolerate and what has caused me to no longer dine here moving forward is the interaction I had with Kevin. 0/0. Horrible manager. How unsanitary and disrespectful is it for a manger who’s running an establishment tell a paying customer that the piece of hair was in the rice not in the rest of the meal. They could have had that rice for over a course of a few days. By his comment they probably didn’t even throw the rice out after seeing the hair. I will NEVER...
Read moreMy family and I went to Bo Bo's Garden today for lunch and it was the worst experience. First, when the waitress took our order, she took all but mine and started walking away. I managed to grab her attention before she did, but I wouldn't have been able to order at all otherwise.
When she brought out my niece's Miso soup, she did not bring my dad's at all. When asked, she had completely forgot and did not write down what he ordered at all. When it came to bringing out the main food, she handed my brother-in-law's food to my dad, even though we had JUST told her his order and then when she brought my sister's, she brought out a random dish entirely.
My sister had ordered the Mongolian Chicken and she brought out a Hunan Beef dish that no one ordered. There were no apologies, no corrections to the bill and with all the continuous mistakes it was clear no one there even gave a damn. Needless to say we will NOT...
Read moreOrdered take out from here on Christmas. Was prepared for a long wait because it was one of the only places open, but the website said to pickup in 20 minutes. When I arrived at the restaurant I was told that I would need to wait another 30-45 minutes and that the website doesn’t actually give a real estimated time. Came back 45 minutes later and was told to wait another 10-15 minutes. I finally received my order about 80 minutes after I placed the order (and an hour after the initial pickup time on their website).
I completely understand that Christmas is incredibly busy for Chinese restaurants, but that doesn’t excuse their poor communication.
Typically, I’d give this place the benefit of the doubt and try it another time but the food wasn’t good enough to make it worth it. Rice was horribly undercooked, the lo mein and eggrolls were bland, and the general tso’s chicken...
