This is probably most shady Jack in the Box I've ever gone to. Here are the main problems:
The LED indicator near the speaker at the drive thru is non-operational. Why? People need to know what they order!
The cashier sometimes tries to sneak in something you didn't order. For instance, the cashier asked if I wanted a curly fry or regular fry, I ordered regular fries (and the cashier acknowledged this) but when the cashier repeated my order, she said, "curly fries" but that would have costed me extra. So I said no, I wanted normal fries.
The cashier does not put the receipt in the bag nor asks you for one. Jee, now I'm actually curious why the cost of my meal was more expensive (after tax). I got a $6.49 meal but I paid $8. I don't think tax would exceed more than about $7.10... But I don't have proof of what I actually purchased. Maybe they charged me for those darn curly fries but still gave me regular fries.
The prices are jacked up (no pun intended) and are significantly higher than other Jack in the Box places. For instance, that $1 taco that you could buy is now $1.40... Dang who knew that putting some taco meat, lettuce, and cheese in a taco shell and frying it would be so labor intensive? NO WONDER THEY INCREASED THE PRICE...
I'm usually not too picky on language barrier but it's rather hard to order. They don't understand what you say and I don't understand what they say. Perhaps a receipt or that LED indicator near the speaker would be nice to make sure that we're saying the same thing. We can work around language barriers but if I don't have proof of what I ordered, how can I correct their mistakes?
At least the food is good. Thank...
Read moreAs an essential worker, at an animal ER, sometimes I'm required to work 16hr overnight shifts depending on the influx of hurt animals. Well at 12am 3/17 I took 'my' lunch break. Yep. Just halfway through a long night. I pulled in to jack in the box for a quick bite, and the rudeness was so overwhelming. But what else was open? The drive thru had a snake line, and at my turn the young lady says: "sorry I spilled something real quick gimme a moment please" I say sure. 10 minutes later I could place my order. I pulled up, and through the window you could see "the spill" of cherries that were still on the floor. So I'm wondering what took so long. I ignored it, and when the young lady came to collect my card for payment, she repeated the cost, snatched my card, ran it gave me the card back, closed the window, and walked away as I was asking for my receipt. I waited patiently before leaving and asked for my receipt. She walks off again, and goes to find the manager,( I assume since she had on a grey top and the rest of the staff were wearing red). To bring up the ticket. The girl handed it to us and, again slammed the window. So, my thing was, it's late. I get it. But there's no reason to be so rude or show ur irritability to others. This is a hard time for us all still. At least you don't have to deliver bad news to families who won't be taking their small family member home that night. Being considerate of what your attitude projects on others is apart of customer service. If you don't want someone to be rude to your mom, or your family member don't be...
Read morePulled up to the drive-through. No one answered the call box pulled around try to get in the lobby. It was 2 AM. I figured it would be locked so I called the store not once but three times and this young lady who was sitting in the corner booth somewhere walks up to the screen, makes a fountain drink looks back at the order screen in amazement that someone had actually ordered food, All the while, pretending not to notice me standing there with the phone to my head, calling the store trying to get the order I placed online. I eventually had to call DoorDash to get a refund and 22 minutes into it. A young male walks from where I would imagine would be the restrooms. And I can only imagine what took him 22 minutes to complete in there. As an RGM of a fast food restaurant, those two would be out the door very quickly.
before you respond, “how tragic my experience must’ve been and say you should always keep moving at Jack’s where you get fresh hot food please reach out to us via your website and leave feedback” what seems to be maybe one of four automated pre-texts that you have, I did, there wasn’t enough space to tell you how thoroughly pissed off I was, and I honestly don’t expect a response from anyone that really cares! because I know firsthand all those go straight to the store manager, who may read them, may or may not reply and then move on, probably has a good chuckle with the staff. I would rather eat off a homeless man’s back side, trash from the dumpster outside a Chinese restaurant, before I order from this...
