I'll start by saying that this is a challenging review because parts of this experience were very good and parts, not so much. I placed a to go order and we had 3 regular size bowls, one chicken teriyaki with steamed rice, one spicy chicken teriyaki fully loaded, and one chicken katsu fully loaded. We also got the edamame and crab Rangoon. They made the plain teriyaki perfectly for a very picky ten year old so that was appreciated and he loved it. The spicy chicken teriyaki was wonderfully charred and had just the right amount of spice. The katsu was absolutely wonderful, 10/10. Unfortunately the fried rice was soggy like it had too much water or too much sauce and we did not enjoy it as much as the protein. The crab Rangoon were delicious but might have needed to stay in the fryer another minute longer. The young man that checked me out was incredibly polite, respectful, helpful, and professional. I wish I remembered his name because he should absolutely be recognized. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff was behaving in a way that was incredibly unprofessional. Maybe it was because I was the only customer in the establishment or maybe it was because it was near closing time but I definitely heard just about every "curse" word in the English language including f-bombs and the n-word. This type of language doesn't bother me in the slightest but as a business leader I would reprimand my employees for behaving in such a fashion. Overall, seems like they have some kinks to work out but I'll definitely be back for the katsu.

So excited to see this place now open! I went to grab a quick dinner and they were packed. All tables were full and others waiting for their to-go orders. The cashier/host was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I saw their social post about their opening day special on the regular chicken teriyaki for $6. After ordering I quickly regretted not also ordering an egg roll and the rest of menu looks delicious and I need to come back and try other dishes! As I was ordering the cashier let me know that there would be a 20-30 minute wait which was fine. My order came out in about 20 minutes and the portion size was nice, the chicken is charbroiled so it had nice flavor along with veggies and your choice of rice. Got a little extra teriyaki sauce on the side. They had a few high top tables and booths for dining in and a drinks station. The employees were all hustling to get customers served and were all nice. I look forward to my next visit.

Teriyaki Madness Cypress is AMAZING for catering! I’ve used them multiple times for customer lunches and will continue to be a repeat customer. The owners are accessible and so helpful to work with to get your order just right. The food is hot and delicious and always delivered on time. The set-up is awesome with tent cards identifying each dish. Sauces and all the extras are included with plates and napkins. The cherry on top is the personalized sumo wrestler guarding the food. He’s the cutest! Highly recommend for your catering needs!

First and foremost I want to say great job to the cooks the teriyaki bowls and egg rolls are phenomenal. My first experience here was good, but the cashier forgot to charge me for 3 bowls and instead I realized I only had 2 bowls in the bag. The bag was tied so I didn’t know. I returned to get the other bowl and paid for it. I waited 10 mins while the other bowls got cold. I still tipped because honestly mistakes happen and the cashiers were friendly on this day. Today, is a different story. I got there and one of the cashiers made a comment to the other to take me since he was about to leave. The African American lady helped me instead and soon after she realized I didn’t tip her attitude changed. I was in the middle of putting my number and she skipped it for me to earn my rewards. I told her I was in the middle of putting my number and she said it’s ok there’s a code on the receipt. I tried making a login and putting the code but it didn’t work. Regardless, I was willing to give this place a second chance, but after this transaction I can no longer justify the 30 min drive there and back home. I also cannot over look terrible service specially if a customer does not tip. There is a reason a customer is not tipping and frankly, they don’t have to if they don’t want. I hope the owner and manager read these because even after I was leaving I asked for an extra sriracha sauce and the other young lady said there was two in the bag, which when I got home there was only one. Keep in mind people go to restaurants for 3 main reason, the food, the service, and lastly, the rewards. If only one of those is being met your customers will stop going. I hope the cashiers understand the concept of tips. Sadly, I feel that many chains don’t care about customer feedback I hope...

My husband and I tried this place for the 1st time this evening. The server behind the register was sweet & helpful when I told him it was out first time. I went with the combo meal with regular-sized bowl of Spicy Chicken with veggies, fried rice, an egg roll, and drink. My husband ordered the Spicy Orange Chicken combo meal with steamed rice. Unfortunately, the soda fountain machine wasn’t working very well so I was disappointed with my drink. A few of the tables were really sticky and/or dirty too. As we were looking for a clean table, I noticed no one had their food. Several groups of people throughout the store were still waiting for their orders—which made me nervous. Finally, little by little customers began to get their food and then we got ours. Whoa! I was VERY surprised with the deliciousness of my meal! It was cooked perfectly! The chicken was spicy but not too spicy. The vegetables were crispy and fresh. The egg roll was great. But the fried rice had to be my favorite! Holy moly—it was terrific. Oh! And the portions were amazing! I’d like to believe the reason it took so long was because everything is freshly cooked to order. I don’t know that for sure, but it sure tasted like it. All in all, if the soda machine was working properly, the tables weren’t sticky, and the wait wasn’t long—I would have rated 5 stars based on...
