I attended AMV for over 5 years with my father. Please ignore top comments. I am not sure how long you all attended AMV, but to learn and appreciate music you need to commit to it for a long time. Mr.Valero along with his staff were an inspiration to us. He inspires our Hispanic community to dream big. He puts all his effort in helping his students succeed in music by having recitales and making us feel like real artists. The Hispanic community is not an easy one to inspire but AMV has done just that. Throughout the years you feel like your truly a family with your classmates. I specifically remember Mr.Valero having us do different exercises before going on stage that would help with the stress or nervousness. As a director he had no need to do that! He helps his students, he's available to his students, he gives classes among other AMV staff thank you for improving and caring for our Hispanic community. You have done an amazing job Mr.Valero thank you for creating a stronger bond between my father and I and thank you for giving me that motivation to think I could be so much more than I thought I could. I never thought I would ever attend college and now I am a graduate student that will be graduating in May. Thank you & your theory courses that helped me develop a sense of responsibility that continues to help me throughout my college career. Thank you!...
Read moreI have recently joined AMV. I was afraid of going to an academy due to the fact that I had never taken classes for an instrument. The first day I attended the academy I felt very welcomed and felt it was very family oriented environment. All the teachers are very respectful and do a great job to make sure each and everyone of their students receive the attention they need. All the staff is very attentive to your needs and are willing to work around your schedule to ensure that you get the best possible teaching not only for your instrument but also the course material. The teachers are well prepared for the job and Little by little I have seen the improvement when I play my instrument I enjoy being at the academy, it is like my second family. Mr. Valero and his family are an amazing family. You automatically see how much dedication, respect and passion they have for all of the students to master their instruments. I would definitely recommend this...
Read moreReally bad experience. I’d never here been before until today but I bought a used violin and guitar recently and wanted to make sure they were in good working order. I took them in to get looked at since they are a music store hoping to buy new strings or whatever they might need. The ladies at the front desk acted like they didn’t even work there, like they’d never seen an instrument before. They offered no customer service at all. Referred to how they were being watched by the owners “on the 3rd floor” with the cameras. It was all very confusing but I think the take away is that they don’t touch anything used and won’t help you figure it out. I put two stars because they did eventually say to come on Monday when the repair guy is in. I think they mostly just lack customer service training. Zero salesmanship was witnessed. Hopefully they improve because I love the idea of a music store...
