I have been a client at Class Studios since January of 2020. From the moment I walked through the doors at the West Village studio where I took my very first class, I have felt welcome! I took my very first Cycle45 class with Paige, and, was very impressed! The studio's amenities are absolutely stunning, and, although some of them are not available right now due to the health & safety protocol they have implemented as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I look forward to when they'll be available again in the future.
This year, I decided to sign up for their annual "Badass Challenge." It is a challenge that incentivizes clients to "white out" their challenge cards in an eight day period; the card has 16 squares and you can mark a maximum of two squares per day. As an indoor cycling instructor myself, I have always taken Cycle classes at Class Studios. This challenge has encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone and try new class formats, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. On the first day of the challenge, I took a Sculpt45 class with Jasmine, and, I will definitely be back! It felt like the perfect compliment to cycle and also focused on strengthening parts of my body that I don't normally focus on.
One of the best things about Class Studios is the fact that they really do have something for everyone. From Cycle to Train, Sculpt to Sprint, and even experimental/new classes in the "LAB," there are a variety of different class options to choose from. Both of their locations, in West Village and Preston Center, are very well designed and the owners, instructors and "Class Crew" will welcome you with open arms! Being new to TX (I moved from CA in the summer of 2019), I have met some amazing people while attending classes at Class Studios. I feel confident that the relationships I've formed with clients will continue and grow outside of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStepped out my comfort zone and took a studio class this morning.
I was invited by the owner @paigeforrest to attend her 10:30 cycle class. Here is my honest review:
The studio was amazing. Aesthetically pleasing! Clean! Great location that was conveniently accessible from parking garage.
Staff was super friendly and inviting! I have been to studios in the past where the staff and instructors were not inviting to the non-regulars. Or have made me feel like I did not belong there.
The studio has shoes available for rent if you donāt have your own! I love that! Because everyone knows how I feel about proper equipment!
The playlist was AMAZING!!! Lots of high energy hits with the perfect amount of diversity.
Inclusion- as far as demographics are concernedā¦I was the only person I saw in the class that looked like me. But, I didnāt feel out of place at all! Page encouraged s community vibe from the start by having us intro ourselves to our immediate neighbors. (Shout out Layton and Haly who were my neighbors and sweat buddies today)
The ride itself was great! It was a calorie torcher! Challenging from the start to finish. But, it was also fun and engaging. It didnāt feel extra at all. Felt the perfect amount of butt kicking and motivation! Everything from the lighting to the transitions was all top tier!!!
And yāall know Iām hard to please! I burned as many calories in her class as I do in my own and my sis Carolāsā¦and thatās something I canāt say about any other class Iāve attended. So, yes!!! I will definitely be backā¦be it as an instructor or just to ride with a new cycle friend!!!
Thanks again, Page!!! And...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first experience at Class Studios was a pleasant one. I think this place has great potential, but needs to refine operations just a bit.
I was greeted at the door, but not as welcomed as I would prefer. I like to feel like the business wants ME there. A warm Texas welcoming would be great! Make me feel like Iām a regular so that I want to come back.
It was my first time and I wasnāt given a mini tour of where to put my things, which studio was for train45, showers, etc....
Dreās class is awesome! He means business and he kicks your butt. I would recommend slowing the pace down. We were moving so fast that I didnāt know which exercise I should be on, nor could I remember. Lol. I would suggest monitors with the workouts or a white board. Anything other than writing on the mirrorāI personally canāt see it.
Also, modifications to certain exercises would be great. Not all of us are as fit as Dre. Somethings I canāt do with proper form, so a modification should be given. I donāt want to get indjured trying to keep pace.
Honestly, it was probably a better workout than OTF, which I love. Just need to make it a little bit more friendly to all levels of exercisers.
I didnāt like that we didnāt wipe down the exercise equipment down between switches. I know there are germs at any gym, but can we make an effort to keep equipment clean between users? I sweat... a lot. Itās really for the next personās benefit. Haha.
Parking was much easier than I anticipated. Yay!
Again, this place has a lot of potential. Definitely...
