Nailed Up — Local services in Dallas

Update: I did not receive your call or message. I only received a message from someone in the salon offering me 10% off of my next service and explaining the glitch with the Vargo system, after realized that I had been overcharged and I sent a text stating that the price that I was quoted should have been honored. I was more upset about the time that I waited without explanation, than the price (Although $70 is a lot for a pedi, especially when I was planning to pay $56. I have paid $75 for a pedi before, but what I received at Nailed Up does not measure up.) I went to this salon for the first time about 10 days ago. Upon arriving, I was greeted and told to have a seat. I was offered a drink and given the color palette. It was 45 minutes before she called me to begin my pedicure and asked me if I still wanted the manicure since they were running late. After I left, I looked at the price that was quoted on the appointment booking site and noticed that I was overcharged. When I contacted them to give them feedback, I was told that I had been given a 10% discount for having to wait, and they would give me another 10% off the next time. They also apologized for being late, and said it was because of the parade. The pricing discrepancy, was due to an issue with the booking site. I guess they felt that was sufficient, because they did not offer to refund the difference. I understand things happen, but for me 45 minutes is too long to wait without explanation. I gave this place 2 chances. With a myriad of other options out there I would avoid this nail salon. Trust me. I am a nail fanatic and have been to many places. I booked here looking for a higher end service with skilled techs and was shammed. They over charge and nickel and dime you any chance they get. She has ridiculous cancellation and booking policies worse than a specialty doctors office. She will charge you FULL PRICE for a same day change and a $20 late fee regardless if they have any clients after your service. No exceptions…even in an emergency or special circumstance. I literally called crying to push back my appt with zero care on their end. A basic gel pedicure cost $73. They charge $10 gel polish removal on top of your pedicure when all they do is shave it off with a sander and ruin your real nail by making it paper thin. No different than any other basic cheapo place you can get for $50. The pedicure chair is extremely uncomfortable and I left with a back ache. It is dirty inside and she hires girls fresh out of school and charges high end experienced salon prices. Save your money and time and go to any average nail place….so many better ones out there that provide better service with a simple google search. I just discovered this place and my only complaint is that I’m mad I didn’t know about it before 😩 The place is really cute, clean and well kept. On top of that, it’s fume and cruelty free! The staff is really friendly and they offer a really good range of services!!! I got a pedicure done by Myrical and am super happy with how it came out. I came during my lunch break and she was quick, paid very close attention to detail and made sure I was comfortable. I’ve gone to multiple nail salons and usually don’t go back because I’m disappointed but you can really notice the care they put into the nails they do so I can’t say the same about this one. I can’t wait to have some time to actually get my nails done, will definitely be coming back to see Myrical soon!

Update: Finally went back to try Apres nails and have been converted from acrylic! I've only been here twice, but I am impressed with the attention to detail and care for nail health! I have been doing acrylic nails for months and Vero and Rebeca were patient with explaining the state of my nails to me and how to better take care of them. I really appreciate their care and their time and I have HUGE respect for Vero for being so diligent and patient in educating her nail techs. Will definitely be back and would recommend this...
