Bought a Samsung Note10 Plus from them on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at their Forest Ln location. Experience was fast and easy. However, I have an issue with the way they sell their phones. For context, I am a computer technician of over 10 years, so I didn't go buy a phone just because I couldn't fix it, but because the parts would be more expensive separately.
They, first off, sell products that may or may not be perfect condition. They are functional, as they state. All basic functions work; so at least they don't sell non-functional junk. However, during my way back home I did notice they didn't make me aware of the screen burn-in the phone has. They didn't even mention it, perhaps hoping I wouldn't notice. However, putting it side by side with my old device (which is the same brand and model of phone) I did notice the screen was a donor screen with noticeable burn-in.
This is a huge issue because customers should be able to make an informed decision and for technicians and retailers to point out issues with their devices, if any, so customers understand what they are buying before they buy it. Even if it isn't a noticeable thing, it is appreciated if you are upfront about the issues; especially when you are claiming your items have zero hardware warranty due to "Clearance pricing". Sure, they will warranty their unlocking job and that their IMEI# won't be blacklisted, but that is the lowest bar you can deliver a warranty on if you sell unlocked phones. They, however, make it clear on their clearance pricing notice that they won't take any returns on the phones themselves.
For 250 dollars (which could have gone to a better quality phone from same brand/model) I don't feel I got the product I expected. For context, a phone in similar condition would be around 150-175 dollars if you look for it well enough. So these are not phones that match the price level they seek for their phones, as they seem to have some type of imperfection or another, despite their price range competing with functioning products without the issues they leave on the phones.
The fact I didn't ask for more information or to see the phone closer is on me, knowing what I am looking for in a phone; and also knowing I can just cannibalize the new phone to fix the old one makes it, I guess, worth it. However, if you do buy from them ask for them to let you hold the phone and make sure you like what you notice...
Read moreI proceed to tell them my phone has water damage and proceeds to charge it without opening it up first to see if their is any water potentially short circuiting my phone.
Before they would even open it up, they were going to charge a 70 dollar Diagnosis fee.
Such a shame, the phone probably still would have had life left if the first thing that was not done to it was to charge it.
Edited: On Oct 13th, they had told me the screen was completely shot and needed a new case, after waiting for everything to completely dry everything works again.
Edited to respond to Owner: Yes you were the first shop I visited on 10/09/25, with the galaxy S23 Ultra, there was a 2 customers speaking with 1 gentleman and the other was the one who took care of me. This was roughly around the early afternoon, you were telling me most likely ill need to get a new screen. 180 for the Aftermarket, over 330 for the OEM & I was told I needed to pay 70 dollars just to open it up and that it would take over 3 hours. In which I proceeded to go to the next store (& if you noticed that other store did not try to charge me a diagnosis fee). I have the correct store I went to and I can always come back to take pictures and videos if you really need proof I was there. Please do not make this any worse...
Read moreI recently had my phone screen fixed at Talk N Fix Wireless, located at 9790 Forest Ln, Dallas, TX 75243.
I was required to leave my phone there all day for them to fix it, and they also require that I left my phone passcode with them. I DO NOT recommend you leaving your passcode with them.
Receiving my phone back, I discovered that they were using my phone for personal reasons and entertainment, during the time that I was told would be required to complete their job.
All they were paid to do was fix the front and back glass of my phone. Upon finishing their job, I had to wait an additional 30 minutes to receive my phone because They were also downloading the information on my phone, which I did not approve volunteer for. They did not even explain what that was necessary for.
Additionally, the next day after this experience, I got an email from Snapchat that my account will be locked for violating their terms of service the previous day.
I will never go...
