My wife surprised me with an appointment to get a tattoo I've wanted for my birthday with Justin at Dana Point Tattoo. I sent him a message a few days prior and he responded quickly at every turn. Justin was communicative, and he collaborated with me on my design idea, following my idea and suggesting his own creative touches.

When I arrived for the appointment Justin was friendly and put me at ease after not having gotten work done in a few years. He estimated the time and price accurately, and when all was said and done the piece came out better than I had expected. I was glad that I had listened to his design suggestions. Good variety of styles and incredible work being produced daily. Justin Hobson does the best fine line work/color work I've seen in person (heavy shading, watercolor, whatever). Theres a really cool vibe when all the artists are together working. It's up a flight of stairs (not handicap accessible). Little smoking balcony out front. Poor experience here, I took down my original poor review because I got a response from one of the owners, whom I thought cared about my poor experience - however i spent time explaining in a detailed email my three poor experiences in his shop while trying to get a tattoo and no response.
