Escape Foot Spa — Local services in Dania Beach

I went here for a service on Christmas Eve as a gift to my boyfriend. The receptionist held my card in her hand and refused to hand it to me or process the transaction until I gave another tip when I already tipped in cash. I will NOT be returning due to this unfortunate circumstance.

I decided to tip them in cash with what I had on hand, however it would have been helpful if the tip minimum was mentioned when I called in to confirm the appointment earlier that morning after our flight delay. After our service, I would have greatly appreciated simply being ASKED if I could tip more, but there is absolutely NO justifiable reason for any REPUTABLE business to refuse to process a customer’s transaction or deny handing them their credit card in order to coerce them into tipping more. We bought a Groupon for a full body massage and foot massage, and we bought another one in person at the location. The full body massage did not include the thigh area, which was an area of concern for me and I looked forward to getting that done. I brought it up at the location and they said that is not part of the promotion. The person giving the massage was too gentle and I barely felt anything. We had to ask him to do it harder. At the end, we tipped 20% of what we paid and the lady at the front had the audacity to ask for more, even though the service was not satisfactory. We paid $50 in cash at the location for one massage, 20% of $50 is $10, but she said we HAVE to tip $15. She blatantly asked if we have $10 more to give her because we gave her $20 tip for both. She is so incredibly competent, and clearly understands the functioning of the various muscles within the body. She even told me that she found my feet cold and that I should go home and soak them for 20 minutes in warm water, so her understanding of the body goes above and beyond what I’ve ever experienced! Treat yourself and experience this excellent place! Group of ladies is headed back on Monday for a foot massage!
