Opulence Overshadowed by Underwhelming Selection
As I stepped into the casino's buffet, I was immediately struck by the elegance that surrounded me. The interior exuded luxury, with tasteful decorations and a warm, inviting ambiance. It was clear that no expense had been spared in crafting an environment of sophistication and class.
However, the grandeur of the setting raised expectations for a dining experience to match, expectations that, regrettably, were not met. At \$35 per person, one anticipates not just a feast for the eyes but also for the palate. Yet, the offerings were scant, and the selection was limited, especially when compared to the bountiful spreads of their competitors.
The buffet's limited hours further compounded the disappointment. One would hope for more flexible dining times, especially within the non-stop hustle of a casino environment.
A glaring omission from the menu was the lack of snow crab legs, a delicacy that has become synonymous with high-end buffets and is readily available at other establishments for a similar price. Their absence was a missed opportunity to align the culinary offerings with the opulence of the decor.
In summary, while the buffet's interior may dazzle, the dining experience falls short. For those seeking value and variety to justify the cost, it may be wise to consider alternative venues where the promise of luxury extends beyond the visual and into the very essence of the...
Read moreI probably eat dinner out a few times per week on average, so I am pretty picky. (Some people might say that I am very picky.) I also pretty much go for fine dining most of the time. Having said that, I was reluctant to go to Luxe given the horrible reviews it has on Trip Advisor. However, since it is only 1/4 of a mile from my home in FL, and we were given complimentary tickets to a concert at the casino where Luxe is located, I figured it was worth a try. We were definitely pleasantly surprised. The staff was very pleasant and professional despite being short handed like all restaurants these days. The buffet had an acceptable number of choices, and the food was fresh. There was a salad bar, some soup, carving stations, a seafood section, and a dessert bar with fresh fruit in addition to the sweet stuff. The entire bill was a little less than $100 for the 2 of us, including a Tanqueray Martini and a Tito's Cosmo, but not including tax and tip. Not cheap, but not unreasonable. We will definitely go back to Luxe anytime we go to the casino; at least on a Friday or Saturday night since those are the only nights...
Read moreThe food is ATROCIOUS! For $34.99 there is next to no selection. The $11.99 up charge for the prime rib bringing the total to $50 isn’t worth it.
The shrimp cocktail offer miniature shrimp, the Thai mussels had zero flavor and while the shredded crab salad was tasty, it’s not even crab.
The spiral ham at the carving station looked like dry beef jerky, the bacon was rubbery, the fried chicken was soggy and they served tilapia in a cream sauce. The soup has been the same the past two weeks calling it a different name and tasted like tomato soup out of a can.
The two hot rice dishes consisted of over cooked, dry crusty shrimp & sausage, the fruit selection was not ripe & flavorless.
To charge $20 for this buffet would be a crime let alone $50. MASSIVE...
