The boyfriend and I made a to go order for al pastor and carnitas quesadilla, and the taco carne asada dinner that comes with rice, beans, and a salad but instead I got double beans with rice . My boyfriend enjoyed his al pastor quesadilla but wasn't too sure how he felt about the pineapple pieces. As for me I loved my carnitas quesadilla and, maybe idk my meats but it tasted like chicken but, hey whether it was carnitas or chicken it was really good. Now for the tacos it could have had more flavor, so could have the beans, they were quite bland. The rice was great and as always I'm a red sauce kind of girl instead of the green but, it was still a good flavor it could have been Spicier though. I hope I wasn't too harsh because I'm still interested in trying this place again. Oh and the young man who took our order was very sweet, kind, and attentive. See ya tomorrow to try the arroz con leche! (Maybe because I am a huge procrastinator lol) P.S. there is no pic for the carnitas because I ate it all. It...
Read moreOMG…incredible food and experience. Service was pleasant and very attentive without being overbearing. Food was truly some of the best Mexican we have had. To clear up two things in prior reviews…the chips and salsa were complimentary and while they don’t have a full bar they do serve decent fishbowl type margaritas. Chips were thin and freshly fried and two homemade salsas were excellent. We split the carne asada burrito and tostada carnitas. Large, very tasty, burrito was filled with toppings and outside was lightly pan fried. The carnitas was excellent. Tastey, moist, with ends slightly carmelized. Three very generous tostadas with plenty of fresh toppings. We’re fairly big eaters and split the two dishes and couldn’t finish off the third tostada…aside from picking off the flavorful carnitas. Don’t make a huge mistake and let the strip mall facade fool you. This is a truly authentic family run place with mother of owner doing...
Read moreHad dinner with the fam and was very disappointed with the food. We got two chorizo tacos and two steak tacos which were alright, my wife got the sopa de res and we were very disappointed it didn't come with tortillas or rice (she order a side of rice) never had a red looking sopa de res. I had the steak a la mexicana which was just a regular steak they forgot the onions and tomatos that usually go over it, the portion was good but the meat super tough (I couldn't finish it because it as hurting my teeth and the beans were dry from being left under the heat lamp for a while (see pic) The only highlight was the service, the young man thay helped us was super attentive to all our needs. When we left we had to stopped by a fast food drive thru because we were still hungry. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody especially with so many good Spanish restaurants...
