As They Grow — Local services in Daphne

I know I don’t look like most of the moms that come through here, but to be completely ignored by staff who were enthusiastically speaking to other customers, and to also be looked at through a sneer by one of the women selling clothes as I pulled in really set the tone for this store.

It’s cute from the outside, and very clean. Not a big selection, but it was decent enough.

I wish I could say the quality of some of the clothes were better though, some items were heavily pilled/worn and the prices didn’t really match that. But I do get that this is supposed to be a boutique type shop, so what can you do. But Once upon a child and other consignment stores wouldn’t have taken some of those items, that’s how pilled they were. Selling good/high end brands is great and all but they need to be at least of semi-decent quality if you want to be charging as much as you are. I’m not trying to be rude, but a lot of things were more used and worn than I’d see at chains like Once Upon a Child or Kid to Kid, or even goodwill.

The staff like I said weren’t very helpful, to me and my son at least. We didn’t even get a ‘hi’ or a ‘welcome in’, but the couples after us did. I don’t know what we did, but I can’t really see why this place is so highly recommended if this is how they treat people who aren’t ‘aesthetic’ or whatever was the reason we got such garbage help/treatment. I even told someone else about this store but I’m kind of wishing I hadn’t. But who knows, they’ll probably have better luck here...

My new favorite shop on the Eastern Shore! They have the best selection of items for the most reasonable prices! On my first trip in the store, the owner took the time to give me a tour around the shop as well as answered all the questions I had regarding the resale of items. Overall, this shop has the friendliest staff and the cutest “boutique” atmosphere! Will definitely be shopping...

Very nice business model! Women, men & kids items. Higher end / boutique labels in great condition versus dingy items where you have to scour endlessly to find a nicer piece. What doesn’t sell is back in your hands, no loss. This place is always my go to before considering other sources to sell and buy. :) True...
