To whom it may concern,
We placed an order for a dryer approximately 2 days ago online. Prior to adding the item to the shopping cart, it clearly said that we could get delivery as soon as July 5th. After adding the item to the shopping cart and proceeding to payment, we were prompted to schedule delivery. The soonest available date was July 10th. Why would the website display a possible delivery date of July 5th if it was never going to be available anyway?
I called Best Buy customer service to request help in getting our dryer delivered sooner. The representatives were very nice and professional.
I explained the situation. I also explained that my husband and I are both disabled and have many medical conditions. We simply can't wait until July 10th, that's too long. We have been struggling for days already with transporting our dirty laundry to my in-laws house for laundering, then back home again. It's heavy, we have mobility issues and heart conditions and they do too. I asked for a supervisor or manager. I was told that they have the same tools as a representative and therefore couldn't do anything at all to accommodate us.
I find it extremely difficult to believe and disheartening that Best Buy customer service and corporate staff can be so insensitive and dismissive of their customers' needs. Especially when it's the needs of customers who suffer from debilitating conditions who contact you in good faith to plead for help, for an exception to be made. We purchased many items from Best Buy in the past. We chose to buy from Best Buy again because you had the lowest price for a brand new dryer, the correct size and not open box. We have a low income and therefore are limited to what can spend. However, having great prices and quality products is not an excuse to not go the extra mile to help your customers who need it the most.
We are saddened by this experience. We have firmly decided that this is the very last purchase we will ever make from Best Buy.
The next time we need a quality item, we will shop elsewhere.
If money is an issue, we'll borrow from family or friends. We'll even ask family or friends to install the appliance if necessary. Unfortunately, this experience has taught us that the Best Buy company is not our friend and we have no friends at Best Buy.
Thank you for clarifying this for us. We will absolutely be sure to provide several reviews for Best Buy across the Internet as soon as humanly possible.

Read moreI have had the most terrible experience having my computer repaired through geek squad services this spring.
For the first time in my life I spent a substantial amount of money on a good computer and bought the "best" warranty. Early April I dropped the computer off to the geek squad as it wasn't turning on. Even though I had a substantial warranty, they convinced me to spend another couple hundred dollars on a geek squad membership and a hard drive in case they needed to wipe put my computer. They sent the computer out, it was gone for a couple weeks, called me to come pick it up and it wouldn't even turn on. I sat in this appointment for over 45 minutes while they messed with it and realized it wasn't holding a charge and was operating incredibly slow. At this point I was quite upset as it had already been a good amount of time without my computer and now they have me sitting around Best Buy because they didn't even check to see if it was correctly repaired.
They check it back in to send it out again. It's now gone a couple more weeks, they let me know I can pick it up again. This time I arrive at Best Buy to find the computer is working but now it's completely wiped out they can't find my hard drive. They find the hard drive and now tell me I have to check it back in and leave it a third time for them to transfer everything back onto the computer from the drive. They promise me no more than 2-5 days. We are now on day 6 and I haven't heard a word from them.
At this point they've had the computer for 2 months. I run multiple businesses off this computer and have just had to figure out how to get by all this time.
No offers of a refund of the geek squad membership I wish I didn't pay for, no offers of a store credit foe the massive inconvenience I'm experiencing. I now have to leave for 3 weeks for work and after expressing how much I needed the computer for this, I'm just once again going to have to figure out...
Read moreThis is a hit or miss kind of a place. I went there for a keyboard for my Apple Mac and looked online to find one and it showed Best Buy had them for sale. Offi was to this location. Once I arrived at the store this is where it all happened and it wasn't good. Not sure if this was the right keyboard I asked the associate for assistance and he showed me the Apple keyboards I then asked if I could use a no-name brand with my Mac and he started no you can only use Apple products with the Mac. I started to question what he was saying do to viewing other compatible products which stated Apple compatible? He tried to assure me that I should trust him and his recommendations which I did not so I did not purchase it and Thanked him. I then proceeded to the cellphone cases and asked for assistance there only to be shown female cases and told this is all they sell and as you can see purchased the phone case. When I arrived at the checkout counter to pay there was so one insight to cash me out then the girl at the repair window called for me and said she could cash me out. As I walked over to her the phone rang and she asked me to wait for a minute while she answered the phone, 10 mins and still waiting I was ready to leave and not purchase anything, that is when the cashier arrived and cashed me out. He was kind and apologized for the issue not realizing the other two things that took place. On my way home I stopped by Walmart to see what they had to offer and long and behold it is the keyboard you see in the picture. The same one I read at Best Buy, and $10.00 cheaper. As you can I purchased it at Walmart see the picture. Think before you take advice is the lesson learned here. I am going to return...
