New York Bagel Co — Restaurant in Dartmouth

I'm not so sure the owner or manager even bothers to reads these, but I'll leave this anyway & update if anything changes.... I've always loved their chocolate chip bagel, the amount of cream cheese they put and that you don't have to ask that they put the cream cheese on it (& then don't half the time, like some OTHER drive thru coffee shops & it's impossible to do while driving to work when you drive a standard shift vehicle), but I'm rarely ever driving by in the morning to stop so I kind of forget about them, so when I drove by last week I decided to grab a bagel & it didn't disappoint.... Choc full of cream cheese & cut in half, just like always. Then a few days later, being this past Thursday I drove by again, this time with my son & he wanted to try a bagel too this time. We both ordered a chocolate chip bagel with cream cheese.... We got a chocolate chip bagel with literally a smear of cream cheese, to the point of adding my own cream cheese to it bc it was actually dry in spots bc there wasn't even enough to spread it around to the whole bagel. I was so surprised to see that both of ours was like that! Luckily we went home to eat it this time & I had cream cheese in the fridge, the unfortunate thing though, is I bought it for a recipe & will now have to buy more which is annoying. They also didn't even bother to cut it. I've since noticed this is an ongoing issue with not having enough cream cheese (as is the not very friendly service, which I also experienced the second time I went... The 1st time, earlier in the week, the service was great, very friendly) after looking through the recent reviews left on here & the lack of response from the management or owners. I really hope they fix this issue bc this place was always reliably consistent, especially when it came to the bagels & cream cheese & that's huge when every chain place is known for the...

I pulled up this morning at 6:17 and ordered my bagel when I ordered. I waited about two minutes before I got a response so I just pulled up to the window I paid I was handed a clipboard I signed. I then watched three employees chitchat about who knows what who cares what And then they filing five minutes later but my bagel in so I asked one of the girls I said excuse me, is my bagel going to be ready soon and she decided she was give me an attitude because apparently I was impatient at this point I’ve now been in this drive-through for 10 minutes a bagel takes about two minutes to cook if that I left and I called and I asked for an owner or a manager. I spoke to the owner Kyle and this is the only reason why I’m giving five stars Kyle just bought the store yesterday and recognizes all the issues from the area. You know very well that the service here always sucks . He apologize profusely acknowledged and took accountability of his staff and insured me that they are going to be correcting the issues, which I truly hope he is able to do. My advice would be to stop hiring teen poppers, who wear dirty sweatpants to work, and rub their face while they’re making food , the only reason why I’m giving five stars is because of how the owner handled...

I used to LOVE NY bagel. I have been going there since it was in the original location a block or two away.

Now with new ownership they are open til 4pm every day, which should be a good thing. But, they may as well close at noon cuz the bagel stock is usually mostly empty.

Went there again today and kind get any of the bagels I like. I asked if there was more, clerk said no. I asked why is it always mostly empty by 1pm every week end. He says, oh people come in and buy a dozen or more.

Wow. No duh. So if this is happening Al the time…. I don’t know…. Uh, maybe make more?! Just a thought.

I then ordered a turkey sandwich on a bagel I didn’t want. I went to get chips but just like the bagels, I can’t get regular chips or salt and vinegar. All the unpopular ones are all that’s available.

Now I get my turkey sandwich but, par for the course… there is NO TURKEY in my turkey sandwich. How do you forget the ingredient that the sandwich is named after.

WOW. Instead of the new owners letting a bunch of teenagers run the show… maybe they should work the weekends and see the train wreck.

Come on…. You are a BAGEL shop. HOW DO YOU NOT...
