Why is there NOT a 'zero star' for the review? I am SOOOOOO disappointed and frustrated with their business behaviors. My other siblings have dealt in helping our elderly mom with appointments, follow-up results, billing, etc. After a test, she was told that she would receive the results in a certain number of DAYS. Shortly in the mail, she received the $4,000 bill from their office. Five WEEKS later, still no results. After many phone calls over this time, my sister made an appointment for my mom to see her physician to meet face to face and get the scoop. Minutes later the office called saying that they had just found the results and would be able to discuss them. WHAT?! HOW IS THIS PRACTICE STILL IN BUSINESS?!?!?!?!?!? While I was home to help my mom through a surgery, my parents showed me a letter from a collection agency that was started via Carolina Digestive Health. They also showed me their payment confirmation they received from their bank after paying said bill. I contacted "billing" and was only able to leave messages, since they're always busy. I finally wised-up and mashed a bunch of zeroes to get a live person. The office personnel looked up the account and said that it showed posted to the account even before it was 'due'. She would then send 'billing' a message. I told her they'd probably put her message where mine were sitting for the last 10 days. (Obviously the phone message of getting back with you within 48 hours doesn't apply to billing. ???) I called this morning and left yet a third recorded message for the billing dept; this time probably exuding quite a bit of frustration with their lack of holding to their 'within 48 hours' and it's been 10+ days. Twenty-nine minutes later I get a call from their office saying they have contacted the collection agency this morning and it's been taken care of. She proceeded to tell me that IT WAS TURNED IN TO THE AGENCY IN ERROR. What?!? So my elderly parents have been stressed for weeks with this letter from A COLLECTION AGENCY and they just called them this morning?? After we were the ones leaving messages and calling the collection agency to get this taken care of, Carolina Digestive's "my bad" attitude is very frustrating, unprofessional, uncaring, etc. UGH!! (My brain is hurting soooo bad trying to wrap around this whole fiasco. Wait, and this is just TWO examples of the many times the quality of care has not only fallen short, but left the family trying to do Carolina's jobs for them.) I think I'll close with my sister's slogan she has for Carolina Digestive Health Associates' care and business practice....."If you're thinking on going there, 'Just...
Read moreWhatever you do, please do not let your loved one seek care here. From patient care, to bedside manner, to inappropriate treatment of staff by my doctor, to being belittled, and told to “push through” when the medication being prescribed was making my condition worse to the point where I was almost hospitalized, and improper set up of systems. This is hands down the worst medical experience I’ve even had.
Being diagnosed with Chron’s for the first time was scary and there were a lot of unknowns. Getting ahold of Dr. Jimoh or nurse was impossible so my whole first month during diagnosis I had no clue what the future would hold.
Not to mention, the call line for emergency’s after hours to a Dr. on call doesn’t even work. I had a bad reaction to my medication over a holiday weekend and couldn’t reach anyone for day. I made the staff aware of this several times and nothing had been done.
Multiple times my concerns around my health were dismissed, and mocked. I was prescribed medications that made me throw up for days on end, and loose almost 20 lbs. I almost had to be hospitalized because I threw my ribs out of placement and was extremely dehydrated and couldn’t keep anything down.
Now that I have switched to a new doctor, I have been told the approach taken was 100% wrong and it’s not surprising I got worse.
In addition to being dismissed and mocked myself, I openly heard my doctor loudly yelling at his staff in the hall “not to undermine him and his authority” all why keeping me waiting for over an hour past my appointment time.
I like to believe in the good in people and give them the benefit of the doubt, and I do believe the staff here is all overworked and over booked which may contribute to this but ultimately, everything I experienced here was unacceptable.
I’m not one to often write reviews, but if it saves even one person from going through the same experience, it’s worth it! Please, seek...
Read moreAt first Dr. Greenan and the group was a great experience. They responded right away and provided the care I needed. By March 2025 I was referred to infectious disease. It took until August to finally get the approval. From March- August it was like pulling teeth to get a response let alone care. It feels like they gave up in March. I know in the hospital for 8 days, the entire hold up has been this group. It took 3 days before anyone from the group to check on me. The doctor who came in did not listen to me or where the pain is located in my upper GI. He scheduled a Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, he was an hour late for the procedure. I heard the nurses say “take your time, it’s not like patients are waiting for.” It was clear he didn’t care about my wellbeing. After the procedure he said everything looks good, I asked about my upper GI and he replied I can only see to your colon. That he was putting on a new medication that will fix the issue. He failed to take the time to see Greenan put me on that medication in May. Dr. Greenan finally stopped by on Sunday, he was disconnected and acted like he didn’t know me. He said we are waiting for the results and Dr. Patel will visit on Monday to go over results and next steps. It’s now Wednesday without any updates or direction from the group. After 1 1/2 years of frustration and failure to create plan of care I’m finding a new group to work with. Save yourself the headache and go with a different G.I. group, someone who puts patients first and will take action to provide...
