The appetizers were decent especially if you order the A5 Wagyu. The potstickers taste EXACTLY like the Costco frozen potstickers so they’re like a 5/10. The service and ambiance was fantastic. However, the prices are too high for what you’re given.I decided to order the Korean BBQ ribs but they didn’t have them anymore even though they’re still on the online menu so they told me I’d be getting short rib. I was told it was basically the rib meat just off the bone. What I got instead was this chunky tough meat called flank steak on a literal cow plate and it came out like a fajita plate, steaming and just absolutely submerged in oil. The dish was basically a soup and tasted so sweet it was almost like candy. Everything was super sweet with no spice or bite. When you have all sweet and no spice or acid it’s very off putting and unpleasant. You need more acid or spice to cut through all that sweetness. My girlfriend ordered a filet medium rare and when she cut into the steak it was completely raw. Instead of them sending out a new steak they sent her back the same steak cut into 3 pieces. When you cut into a steak and then put it back on the grill you lose all the juices of the steak and it then becomes dry and tough so that was incredibly disappointing. Our total cost was $89 which was also disappointing. We tipped $28 because our server was great but goodness gracious the food was just over priced and horrendous. What I ordered you could find at any Chinese or Japanese restaurant on a street corner for $10 and yet it’s on the menu for $24. I don’t recommend this to anyone with a...
Read moreI read the reviews and was prepared to be wowed by Sabi. I love sushi and eat it often. It looked hip and it was busy all week during my stay. (I had a hard time choosing between Sabi and Ming's, which is also walking distance from my hotel but just a bit farther.) I ordered carry out and the employee that took my order was polite. My order was ready on time and as ordered. The bartender rang me up. He wasn't overly friendly but also wasn't rude. The food was very disappointing. It was fresh, at least, but the sashimi appetizer was sliced extremely thin and wasn't even arranged in an aesthetically pleasing fashion. I felt it was not a good value due to the slice size versus price and also, it seemed the chef wasn't taking pride in the appearance of the order just due to it being carryout (?). Anyway, I also ordered the EBTKS roll, which sounded delicious from their menu write-up but was also quite disappointing. It was actually so bland that I didn't even finish it. It was a good size and I felt it was at least a closer amount of food to be fair for the cost. In conclusion- there is better sushi out there. This might be a fun place to hang out but if you really want good Japanese, Chinese food, or sushi for a better value, walk a little farther...
Read moreFor years Sabi has been my favorite go to for sushi. The quality is consistently amazing, the service has always been great (with the exception of once), the selection is vast and the drinks are delicious. No matter what your order from the menu, you're sure to dine on deliciousness.
Update: While the food and atmosphere is INCREDIBLE, and among my favorites, the service today was overbearing. I understand that there's nothing worse than a waiter/waitress who totally forgets you, except maybe for one who is ALWAYS there. Clearing your plates and the table before you're finished eating and checking on a table way too often can be a bit much when people have chosen a time of day to dine, knowing it will be quiet and laid-back. We were there to visit and catch up on lost time, to graze and enjoy our appetizers and meal. The waitress was like a hawk, though nice. I'm not saying she wasn't kind, just a bit of a helicopter. Sabi has always offered a relaxed ambiance. It would be nice if the server relaxed just a bit and made get guests...
