Roosevelt Wilson Park — Attraction in Davidson

This park is a nice short walk from the movie theaters, the playground is in a shaded area, and has a decent space for picnics and relaxing. Be careful with small kiddos going down the slide as the design is not the best for little tushies (bumpy). [Sign says its for 5 to 12yos.]It didn't get 5 stars bc the bathrooms were not clean. I'm so happy my kids didn't need it while we were there. Although that day we didn't walk around the small pond, there is a boardwalk around the pond; there are benches around where one can sit to watch nature and catch a cool breeze. I noticed a working water fountain for both humans and dogs alike. It also seems to have enough parking on the street. Overall...

Cute little spot! It's right near our kids new doctor's office, and knowing that there's fun playgrounds and gluten-free food nearby is a plus since this is a pretty long drive from our house. But it's worth it to stay with our awesome GP and I look forward to visiting this little community again.

No fun pictures of the dog this time, but we got her up on the open Jungle Gym practicing going down slides and she loved the agility play along with our kiddos. There's a nice walking trail and bike trails that go down around the pond and a lovely bridge where you can spot turtles...

My daily morning walk around beautiful Roosevelt Wilson Park wouldn't be complete without encountering sweet baby turtles, a glimpse of a large catfish coming to the pond's surface, a family of ducks or geese gathering along the waters edge, or this big beauty watching over the clear calm water just waiting to take flight to capture a fish. This quaint Davidson park is a relaxing immersion of nature and well worth a stroll...
