Negative experience mainly with customer service. Came in to purchase a TCG single, and I was told that the store policy is to charge “a dollar or 2 above market value” so I ended up coughing up the extra few bucks for the card I needed, but I wasn’t happy about it. The store had a hard-to-find German card that I was interested in, and they were selling it for $800 even though the card was valued at $650. The owner told me that if I brought some cards, we could work out a trade. I brought in a bunch of cards, and the owner picked out a bunch that he would trade for at 60-80% value. I submitted a trade proposal from the cards he wanted in which he was getting by far the best of it, and the cards amounted to his asking price even at 60-80%. He basically just changed his mind, and after realizing that I was wasting my time if we didn’t get a trade done, I simply offered to add $100 cash to make the trade even more in his favor. Long story short, the owner kept trying to screw me over, wouldn’t trade for the cards he said he would trade for, kept over-valuing his cards and under-valuing mine, and kept over-representing his cards’ conditions while undermining mine. It wasn’t good enough for him to get my cards at 60-80%, plus an additional $100 on top, he needed to completely rip me off even more than that in order to do a trade. I don’t appreciate the store’s policy of over-charging for singles, and the owner was very unfair and difficult to deal with. I certainly won’t return to this establishment. Staff and owner are super rude. Banned a customer for wearing a shirt from another store while I was in here. Who does that? So much for a sense of community. Never coming back…..EDIT: Since the owner wants to call this a ‘fake’ review let’s talk about the other problematic behavior of the store and their staff. 1) picking fights with other stores on social media 2) encouraging local players to hurt themselves or calling them names on social media sites for playing at other stores….so not a fake review. It's a really great place for people that want to play videogames, especially if they have no consoles at home or computers. It's $8 per hour, but it's per person too. They have a PS5 and Xbox. They also have a private room for those who want they're own space to game. The chairs at the computers are super comfy and its all brand new. The games you can play are on Steam only. They also have a nice headset for each computer. It's nice and dark in there, so it sets the atmosphere just right.
