This is a must-visit ice cream parlor that will transport you to a paradise of flavors.
I would give it 10 stars...Full review below.
Uncle spoon recently had the pleasure of visiting Sweet Aloha Ice Cream, and I must say it was an absolute delight for my taste buds! Located off the 595 freeway/Davie, this tropical-themed ice cream parlor offers a unique and refreshing experience that transports you straight to the Hawaiian islands.
The moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The vibrant "you had me at aloha" sign, immediately set the stage for a tropical adventure. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and their genuine enthusiasm for their ice cream creations was infectious.
Now let's talk about the star of the show—the ice cream! Sweet Aloha offers an impressive array of flavors inspired by the exotic fruits and flavors of Hawaii. From classic options like rocky road and vanilla to more adventurous choices like UBE (absolutely amazing) and adzuki bean, there is something to please every palate. Each scoop is made with high-quality ingredients, resulting in a rich, creamy texture and an explosion of flavors in every bite.
One of my favorite aspects of Sweet Aloha Ice Cream is their commitment to staying true to hawaii. You can taste the difference in the quality and authenticity of the flavors. The ice cream is not overly sweet, and made in house, allowing the natural flavors to shine through beautifully.
In addition to their mouthwatering ice cream, Sweet Aloha offers a variety of toppings to enhance your experience. Whether you prefer classic sprinkles or more unique options, you can customize your creation to your heart's content.
The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and experience you receive. Sweet Aloha also caters to various dietary preferences, offering dairy-free options that are equally delicious.
If you're looking for a tropical escape in the form of ice cream, Sweet Aloha is the place to go. The combination of delightful flavors, friendly staff, and a vibrant ambiance make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're a local or a tourist.
Soooooo...Sweet Aloha Ice Cream exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped in, I felt like I was on a mini-vacation. So, if you're craving a taste of the islands, head over to Sweet Aloha and treat yourself to a delightful, tropical ice cream experience you won't soon...
Read morethis place is usually great, great snow cones great ice cream great variety, the most recent service i received pretty much ruined that though. was there an hour before closing friday night as what looked to be a schools worth of kids were leaving the shop, leaving just the workers, two other customers who were seated eating, and me and my gf. walking in and looking at the ice cream we werent acknowledged until a young worker who was eating a snow cone asked if “we could wait outside because they were having an issue” we obliged no questions, stepped outside and waited in view while the workers and other two customers remained inside, all eating snow cones. not even 5 minutes had passed before a mother and daughter walked up, my gf quickly tried to let them know we had just been asked to wait outside, but they proceeded to enter the store and purchased ice cream ahead of us. Its been a long day, i dont really care, but we finally get in and they tell us they arent serving snow cones anymore. We purchased ice cream scoops and left. confusing and annoying, at least let customers know whats going on and communicate to each other in the store, it also doesnt look or feel great to take two white customers ahead of someone brown skinned but i hope that wasnt the issue. Thankfully im writing this and not my gf. hopefully will be back, the ice cream...
Read more95% of the days in SoFlo feel like summer and there is NOTHING better or more refreshing on a hot day than authentic Hawaiian shave ice! This is NOT a snow cone… This is NOT Italian ice… This is the softest, most velvety ice to ever grace your tongue! Sweet Aloha has 24 flavors to choose from and you can choose up to 3. I got peach, lychee, and tiger’s blood (strawberry/coconut) and while they were all good, tiger’s blood is where it’s AT! You can also get a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk over the top to give it an extra sweet and creamy kick. I was hesitant at first, but I highly recommend the drizzle! PRO TIP: start at the bottom and drag your spoon up the side.
This place also has really amazing, handmade ice cream! I tried several flavors and the ube ice cream, lychee sorbet, and passion fruit sorbet were my faves! You can also get shakes, sundaes (including the viral dubai), Hawaiian drinks, and more!
They also make a real effort to spread the aloha spirit to the SoFlo community with polynesian-focused events, community fundraisers and givebacks, collaborations with other small business owners, and so much more! If you want an amazing treat at a legit small and local business that supports the community and OTHER small and local businesses, SAVE this place as...
