The employees were not what I would call friendly. There was one employee that kept calling me bud in a way that felt very condescending. The only positive interaction I had was with the manager (I think he was a taller gentleman with dark hair).

I brought in five Dell laptops for an offer. They quoted $100 in-store credit per laptop. That made sense for the cheapest unit, but not for the one worth closer to $300. I ended up trading the cheapest one for a JL Audio amp—which, judging by resale value (~$275 on eBay), was actually a loss for them.

The real issue came when I returned for the rest. Each laptop had already been tagged with its resale price, totaling $1,625. Yet their cash offer to me was only $250 in total—$50 per laptop, regardless of model or condition. I understand they need to make a profit, but offering the same $50 for a $300 laptop as for one worth far less is unreasonable. The gap between their resale tags and what they offered me is excessive and does not inspire trust. I left...

Today I went in and sold my old Wii with all of its cords controllers etc. I also brought in a couple of switch games. Got significantly more than GameStop was offering. And saved an hour of driving to inquire nearest competitors... There were three employees on duty. One I presume was the manager, one I presume was the video game / tech specialist and one I presume was over pricing and such. Game X Change of Decatur is absolutely amazing! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. They go out of their way to make sure you find exactly what you’re looking for.
