Les Schwab Tire Center — Local services in Deer Lodge

We were traveling cross country, from Massachusetts. We pulled off the road to gas up. I left the gas station and headed in the wrong direction. I pulled up the Les Schwab parking lot to turn around. I had an issue with my trailer tires not holding air. At my Wife's urgency we decided to have the guys at Mount Powell Tire Center check out my tire deflating problem on my Orange and Black 7x14 tandem axle trailer fully loaded with our belongings.

Justin D B took a look at my trailer tires and found the cause of my deflating problem. They discovered that my trailer rims were not rated for the weight of my trailer. It was discovered that the rim inside welds were compromised and had failed. I had been stopping at gas Stations over inflating the tires to compensate for the air loss.

Justin quickly found the issue. He advised me and we decided to replace the under rated rims for 4 new rims. My tires were not compromised.

I am extremely pleased with Mount Powell Tire Center. I am pleased with how Justin treated us, his expertise, his professionalism was remarkable. The quality of his work is commendable. He did have a co-worker who helped him get the job done quicker. I did not catch his name but his performance was outstanding as well.

I, wholeheartedly recommend this business. I would refer the world to them because we were treated with importance, with value and importance.

Yesterday, September 14 my wife and I were traveling on I90 in southwest Montana headed south and then east to our home in Omaha, NE. The sidewall on a tire suddenly ruptured (only 10,000 miles on the Continental tires). We replaced it with the emergency spare and limped into the nearest town (Deer Lodge) where we found the Les Schwab tire store. We needed a replacement of the exact same brand, model and size because the drive train on our Subaru Crosstrek can’t tolerate even a little difference in tire circumference. Jeff, the store manager didn’t have one to sell us, but he called all the tire stores on our route home looking for one; even his competitor’s stores! He found one 240 miles away at his competitor’s store. He then LOANED US A TIRE to get to that store. His crew even mounted the loaner. We drove to competitor’s store and they replaced the loaner tire with the correct brand/model/size for our car. We then took the tire Jeff loaned us Les Schwab store in Idaho Falls where Anthony shipped it back to Jeff in Deer Lodge. Jeff at Les Schwab came up with this plan and did all of it without charging us anything. His plan the kindness from Les Schwab got us back on the road quickly and allowed us to get the failed tire replaced on warranty with the competitor. I was amazed. I have been buying tires for 40 years and bought them in 6 states and 2 countries. I have never had customer service this good. I'm a new resident to Deer Lodge as of April 2024, and this winter has been a challenge for my 2014 Ram 1500 with the Air Ride suspension not wanting to air up during freezing temps so it's been a very bumpy ride around town, well was thinking about changing it over to non-air ride, but I really like what is original on my truck, well long story short here, the guys in the shop, Josh, Pat, Kyle,and a few others were so kind and were trying to figure out what was causing it to not air up and plain and simple, it's just to cold outside, need to start it earlier before I go anywhere to warm it up or have it in a covered garage with heat and they didn't charge me to diagnose it and it was there in the garage for 5 hrs and I had my tires rotated as well at no charge; I had gone to Butte to the dealer in Oct for the heater core to be replaced and it was $1600.00 and they looked at the air ride and charged $150.00 and couldn't tell me what was wrong with it. I just want to say Thank you Thank you for the great service and the time you guys took and the care of my truck and my desire to keep it as original as possible.
