Hey Apex
I wanted to express my deep frustration with the recent experience our baseball team had with La Porte. As you know, our team is just two blocks LP away, and we've been trying to sell water to support our activities. This is a simple, community-focused initiative meant to not only fund our team but also engage with and serve our local community. However, we were told we couldnāt set up on the concrete and had to move to the grass. This decision felt dismissive and unsupportive, especially considering the minimal impact our small setup would have had.
Itās incredibly disheartening to see that while local businesses expect and rely on support from the community, they arenāt willing to extend the same courtesy to community initiatives. Allowing us to use a small portion of the parking lot to sell water would have been a minor concession for apex , but it would have had a significant positive impact on our team and the community. Instead, we were met with resistance and a lack of empathy, which is disappointing.
The gym is new to the city, and this kind of treatment does not set a positive tone for our relationship with local businesses. It's a missed opportunity for apex to enhance its reputation and support the future of our city through its youth. A simple gesture of sharing a parking lot space could have demonstrated a commitment to the community and its future, fostering goodwill and mutual support.
Furthermore, as a new gym in the area, La Porte should be setting an example of community engagement and support. Not showing support or flexibility in accommodating local initiatives reflects poorly on the gym's commitment to the community it serves. Itās these small acts of cooperation and community spirit that build a stronger, more connected city.
I hope Apex reconsiders its stance on such matters in the future and recognizes the importance of supporting local initiatives. It's these small acts of cooperation and community spirit that build a stronger, more connected city. Mind , you didnāt even ask donation from the gym. We just simply use a small little corner by the traffic light to sell...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I first joined APEX I was very intimidated but quickly got a Personal Trainer to help me! I started with my Personal Trainer, John, in May 2025 and I am already seeing significant improvements in my strength, endurance and physique. I have lost 15 lbs and have gone down 2 sizes! I had to start off with extremely light weights, and sometimes no weight at all! Now I can do more than I ever imagined I could! John is very knowledgeable and provides clear instructions. He went over every piece of equipment with me as I was working out and made sure I felt comfortable using it on my own. He answered all of my questions and concerns. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a results-driven training experience. Although, all of the trainers are just as capable!
APEX La Porte is a great gym! It may be large but has a friendly atmosphere and you are always greeted when you walk in the door. A big plus is that there is enough equipment for everyone! APEX far exceeds my expectations for a fitness facility. There is a ton of equipment and it is always kept working. No matter what level youāre at in your journey, beginner to experienced weight lifter, you will like it here. Ashton, the General Manager, is very friendly, helpful and makes himself available to all clients. He is a great asset to APEX! Rose, is the onsite Nurse with the most beautiful smile. She is very knowledgeable and has brought amazing Health Therapyās to APEX Clients! Go see her to sign up to get healthier and improve your fitness journey!
The HYDRO MASSAGE is my favorite machine after a workout! Itās the best head to toe massage Iāve ever had, which relieves any soreness. It can also target specific areas. You donāt have to contact the front desk to restart it either!
CLEANING STAFF The cleaning staff is very friendly. Several times a day they make sure the gym equipment and floor is clean and the locker rooms look amazing!!
You will not regret choosing APEX as...

I started back in may with no knowledge of working out so i signed up with a personal trainer from Apex. His name is Carlos. you'll know him when you see him. he likes to specialize on leg day. He has amazing workouts for any muscle groups of the body. He has set a great example and structure for me to follow each time i work out. He also has a knowledge of working with patients with pre-existing injuries. when i started i was scared to hurt myself and i constantly had aches from multiple injuries and through time Carlos has taught me how to strengthen the areas of my body to a point where i don't hurt anymore. i feel like what i believe a normal person would feel like now. He is also always there to pick me up on a low day too. because we put our feelings in our muscles, and we hide them better by getting bigger muscles! (LOL)
Also we cant forget nutrition Coach john has been very great with providing macros and keeping personal gals in line. For body recomps, cuts, bulks and just personal health in general. The journey starts with you!
Each and every coach here is great and I feel they are not only gym coaches but life coaches as well. I've been able to turn my life around with these guys! and i owe them a...
