ALDI — Local services in La Porte

LOVE this place! This location seems to have a greater variety and larger stock of items I need or want to try. Stocked up for holiday baking for at least half what I would have paid at other grocery stores. Found flax seed, chia seed, raw almonds and pepitas for energy bites/granola bars as soon as I walked in the door. I'd expected to have to visit several stores to find all those items. One employee in particular was everywhere, helping customers, answering employee questions, he jumped to open a second register when he saw 5 people in line. He checked two other customers out, left to grab a cart while I loaded my groceries on the conveyor, and checked me out also in the time it took the other cashier to begin checking their second customer. I complimented him on the store and his service and he said, "I LOVE this store!" It was very refreshing to see someone take pride in their work and place...

The size of some bigger convenience stores, with the prices of a budget grocery store. Make sure to bring your own bags and bring a quarter for the carts, you get it back when you return it. They have a huge selection of items in a tiny store, it's pretty impressive. Anything from tools, sheets, office chairs, monitors, and of course groceries. The groceries are not name brand most of the time, but their prices more than make up for that fact. Prices are really low and reasonable, what's normally like 2 dollars at wally world is $1.20. But their in-house brands are usually better or the same compared to brand name...

Came around 4:30 5/15 there were two lines open when I got in line, though they were not very long. The woman at the register Destinie did not greet, or speak to me at all. Threw my groceries in the cart, as though she was in a rush. Throwing canned goods on top of my fruit, so that the container popped open. Did not acknowledge me once, or apologize. There was no one behind me in line to warrant her rushing or rudeness. If I return I will specifically ask for a different cashier.

Giving two stars because the staff is usually very nice, and the store is well stocked. This woman should not...
