I own an antique store in little ol Hertford North Carolina and happened upon this little gem while delivering a piece to the area. My travel partner (fellow junk hustler if you willš) were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. You see, at that point in our trip every single person we had come across was rude, grumpy & just plain mean. It really put a bad taste in our mouths for the whole town, state even. I mean, Florida is supposed to be the sunshine state yet there seemed to be no sunny dispositions anywhere! Anywho, we walk in, the owner greets us & we end up having a great conversation. He enlightened us to a lot of goings on in the area which could explain a lot of the attitudes. He was quite friendly, had a decent selection of antique & vintage goods at quite reasonable prices. My partner and I were very pleased with our purchases, quite enjoyed our conversation with the owner & left with a somewhat restored faith in humanity in Deerfield Beach Florida ā£ļø Hope to visit again one day ..at least to this shop and an awesome lil ice cream shop we found...

Browsed for a while before finding a table I liked, then continued to browse for some more things and found both a centerpiece and very nice painting. Brought everything to the front to discuss prices, and the owner Loren, was very upfront, considerate, and eccentric. He worked out a deal for my lady and I, all the while crackin some good jokes. A real hoot. Once the money n goods were exchanged, he even walked us to my car to check both the dimensions of my trunk and the table, and even offered us some very fine chairs to go along with the piece. I had to take two trips, to which he was very helpful yet again on loading my car, and I must say it was a very personable experience.
All in all, the selection I was able to get along with the cost and service he offered was truly wonderful and a store that I will remember.
edit: i forgot to mention this but he even gave us both water for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stopped by here finally to check out this thrift shop. It benefits a church. It has a large off-street parking lot. Inside, it has 1-1/2 floors. The top 1/2 floor has children's clothes, small appliances and sports equipment. The main 1st floor has women's clothes, jewelry, books, decor, furniture, mattresses. The clothes are priced with colored tags showing the amount of discount for each item. The furniture section primarily consisted of mattresses. The jewelry looked like a store that closed had donated a bunch of the same cheap costume jewelry rings. There was one necklace in a case that i wanted to look at, but i could not get the attention of the clerk who kept walking right by me ignoring me. There were nice decor items that caught my attention but they were way overpriced. I left disappointed with no purchase. I probably...
